"This place is... tiny now" SHe says but takes the sofa

Her son clambers into her lap. Despite her barbaric appearance, she gives him a hug while he's there "Dawson, you have rabbit ears"

"That he does. Dearest, have you a compact or mirror about you?"

"My purse..." She starts to say

"I'll get it!" Dawson springs to it, and returns with the purse "A candy may have fallen out"

She pulls out the compact and looks at herself "I do have horns and...muscles"

"A fine figure of a trolless" CC assures

"I rather like being strong, my mind is ....I remember war"

The boggan nods "I suspect in your past lives you were a warrior, indeed."

"You probably got a bad ass war name, my war name is Slyfoot" the boy tells his mom

"Dearest, do you care to do the honors this time?" drly.

CC chuckles "Shall I skip to the Escheat and let her see if memory of a name comesto her?"

"In any order you care for, Dearest."

CC goes into the Escheat, in detail and yes with her own views mingled in . She answers questions, while Emerson sips his mead

Sniff mead?

Looks like the coffee was chimerically altered

"Hm." he swirls, sips, inhales....

Not a bad batch actually, the mead has a vague coffee touch but it works

CC goes on explaining, "...and it is possible another name feels more natural to you"

"Slyfoot is one of those." with a nod to the rabbit on her lap.

"Slyfoot?" She looks at her son "And you're good with this?"

"Remember, he will exagerate or obfuscate. He can't help it" CC says kindly

"I will DIE before I am called Dawson again" Slyfoot declares loudly

"I see what you mean," Christina observes in the dry way trolls have

"As for yourself... Dearest, perhaps you should give her the Cliff Notes?"

"Oh you know trolls better than I, dearest" CC smiles

"I may go overboard." he points out.

"I know," She purs at him

"Mmmm....." ... and he explains. He is, to be fair, trying to be both honest and impartial. That said, his bias -does- show. A bit.

"Do we get wishes?" Christina asks amused, then says "I know I seem calm on the outside, but inside I'm still freaking out"

"That.... is a troll for you." with approval.

"Not wishes as much as requests, perhaps."

"You still are invited vto dinner and a show" CC says

"Where is this.. place where we might find mentors?" Christina says "Though I AM grateful for the offer of dinner and a show"

"You will absolutely honor that invitation." Emerson points out.

"Have you ever been to New Jersey?"

"No, what's in New Jersey?" She asks

"New Yorkers" The boy speaks up

"He is not wrong. There is also a trollish stronghold that welcomes ogres; very rare indeed."

C C looks..surprised

"I can't afford to move" the woman shakes her head

He chuckles "You won't have to. We'll show you how. But, not just at the moment, mm?"

"Mom, will you go raid a village?" Slyfoot asks

"Not today, dear" his mom says gently

"Today might be best a time of reflection." he agrees "And learning."

"Dearest, you brought your teacher's outfit?" with an eyebrow.

"I suppose I can change into it" CC assures
