Alone, it's faster; he puts together a meal from whatever's there with his own expert flare and fit for the energies of new Fae Pookas and Trolls.

He has enough glamour to magic it up! But mostly it's a lifetime of expertise and a love of fine cuisine

He ferries the results out in a couple of tray-or-arm-loads.

"Oh my," Christiana was looking up names for herself. "You made that with what was in MY Kitchen? " Stunned

Clearly he can make the most of what she considered a meager collection

"We all have different gifts." He smiles "This is one of mine.'

"My man could turn cheese wiz and bisquick into a five star meal" CC says proudly

"Mmm cheez whiz" Dawson sniffs

He sets put the plates around the coffee table, family style. "Eat up."

"Thank you ver y much" The troll may seem barbaric in voile, but she remembers those manners.

"MIss CC raises a good point. There is a strongly trollish holding in New Jersey, and a more diverse hold in Mexico; either could sere you, I suppose."

The woman is eating, then says "I am sorry, but I can't afford to move . " She arches a brow so trollish that it's almost deja vu. She's mentioned this , and now she must mention it again? mmmph

"You don't have to. There are .... shortcuts.... through the Dreaming to other places in the mundane Autumn World."

"Though they can be... tricky for unsained" CC reminds him

"Now, they are not instantaneous but time works differently in the Dreaming. As it does in Dreams, I suppose. There are dangers you may face in the travels there. But it can be a handy tool to have in your pocket."

"Ah, yes, Miss CC is correct as always."

"Dearest, will you tell them of Saining?"

"Certainly" CC does so, though it takes a bit. By the time she is done, Christina scowls, not at the satyr, but her situation.

"I definitely need a use name. THe more I hear my old name, the more it feels like clothing that's too tight to fit me properly"

"It will come to you, or you may quest for it."

"Once you are Sained. Now, as to that.... Saining requires a bit of magic, an Art that is overwhelmingly the provance of the Sidhe." he can't help, in this company, the note, the edge, that creeps into his tone.

"Why just them?" Christina says, troll brow kniting, "it makes no sense not to make sure such important lore is in more than one basket"

"You'd think that," CC says "Sadly, some don't ever loosen their grip, even for the greater good"

"They crave power, horde it." he says flatly "All for our own good, you understand."

"SUUUUREE they did" Slyfoot says stretching the vowels

His mother smiles at the boy fondly, then sobers "And now I have to pay for the privilege?"

A bitter smile is her only answer.

"It varies from noble to noble" CC says "The kindest will still expect you to bend knee and 'thank them' for the use of their namers, and they'll remember your debt to them, or so they often see it."

"Hmmph."

"I don't know who I am, but I don't like this talk of groveling for my own name" The woman, like her son, seems to be of Unseelie bent, less docile than some seelie trolls

A thin smile on a fat man "Then you might prefer the Mexican options, when the time comes. Fortunately, there -are- rare alternatives to that course of action. Groveling, I mean. And Miss CC and I can help you there." he tilts his head, looks at her "Come to that.... the Farm is closer than Mexico -or- Bergen." he points out. "And suitable."

"Well, if I can ever get my name, yes." She ponders then smiles "I'm tempted to take the name Iceni. Boudica being a bit presumptive"

The flash of wolf teeth quite appealing

"The Farm -does- seem a good option." he conceeds "It is a traditional troll lodge in all but loyalties, and they do have pooka there as well. Quite welcome to satyrs, too, as it turns out." with a smirk.

"Oh yes, my son was made VERY welcome" Amused "Though he lives in town" CC says "I think they could help you, Iceni, and Slyfoot"

Both new chryslids seem to take to their non human names easily

"Shall I call the Farm?" he asks.

"I... think maybe we could TALK to them," Iceni says cautiously "Maybe they can be kind to help us from there while I go on with my life here? I don't know"

"We were just hatched" Her son reminds "But don't worry, I'll never ever leave YOU fairy god father" Slyfoot nods vigorously

"Mm. Allow me." he finds his cell phone and call.s

He gets an answer from the new Hearth "DeBuke farm, Kourney DeBuke speaking"

"Hello, Kourney, this is Emerson Stodgepole. I hope you're well?"

"Mister Stodgepole, I'm well thank you. I could talk your ear off about the local gossip, a hearth requirment I'm told but I doubt you called to hear a wilder's view on such things. We're getting by, little dramas, and some rescues here and there. I hope you and yours are well in KC?"

"We are, very well. The babies are growing every day, of course, delightfully. And we have some recent additions in the area that might benefit from knowing you and yours."

"Well, Caesar's a good dad, don't know where he finds the time" The answer is babysitters, lots of them, but the Hearth moves on "New additions? How can we help?"

"Mm... is your Storm available to come for a visit?"

"Murray? He's not our most 'social' fellow as you may remember, but I suppose. Are they in danger? "

"I understand, and no. But I think they might get along, Murray and these new arrivals."

"I'll ask him if he's willing. If he's not we'll send someone who is. I take it we got at least one troll?"
