William licks thin lips and looks at Callidora.

A question in his eyes Risk a bargain?

A soft nod

"Well. The boss is nicked but maybe we can all help each other, hm?"

"I smell what you're cooking I think" A pause "what kind of help are we talking?" the voice says

"You want to stay here? But you need.... sustenance?"

"Yes... Look, I don't need virgin blood, I'm not a damn V snob, but human is bed, even if it's in a fresh bag. Now, pig would do too I suppose, but it's not got as much bargaininng power"

The sluagh nods carefully. "I can work with that. Forgive me for asking, but what assurance we can trust you?"

"Huh. Well, truth to tell I'm not sure. I ain't got that gglow thingg so I forget details of the old deal... what assurance can I give? Scouts honor?"

"Honor? That is... quaint." politely "Perhaps we might see you?"

"You really really don't want to" A chuckle

"I will accept your word on this." William agrees. "We've come for the boss's goodies. Maybe bail him out."

"Well, ..."

"Yeah, makes sense. You supply me something so I can stick around for his return, but use this stuff to buy his ransom" A nod "Okay... " There's a clack clatter as ... some hands can vaguely be seen in the shadow, moving some heavy bar it would take a troll to lift

"She's going to stay here while I go in and take a look. Where are you going to be?" nice and easy, polite, understandably careful.

"Near the door I guess, you guys need something?" The hands were pale, and..warty

"No. Just want to be sure there are no surprises or.... accidents."

"Scout's honor" A chuckle

"I'll be fine, sweetie" CC whispers

"Quaint." he replies, possibly to both of them, and he drifts up to the door and then into the next room.

And so he goes in...

...... carefully.

And there they are, one wall has a shelf with TEN gold bars on it! Another wall has a painting, breath taking, of boggan Yeomen dragging sidhe knights down in a scene from the Accordance war

He notes this, and continues looking around. Also, for traps and triggers and perhaps other guardians.

In truth, he sees no other guardians, but then, he didn't see that first one. No traps.

On another wall, another sheelf. It has a featureless full face mask, a diamond ring that any bride would envy, and an statuette of jade, shaped like a serpent

All ken with power

After his first sweep of the room he returns to the door and looks out. "This might be a bust. I don't know if there's enough to make his bail. All we can do is try."

That to Callidora.

CC hisses "Blast...maybe it's enough of a start they'll give us installments?"

"We'll have to find more. Still, it's a start. We need a bag."

William looks around the room for something to carry it all in?

"Ah, I got a bag" the creature says "Hold on a sec." A US Army bag (must be surplus) sturdy and large is provided

William takes it gingerly. "Thank you." his tone and words, though, are polite. He starts loading the bag; the gold is heavier than it looks and has to be parceled out. The painting....Glamourous?

OH yes

CC whispes to her lover "We may end up with a hernia here "

"All for a good cause."

He loads what he can in the duffle, and takes at least 5 bars himself in pockets and such. He'll carry the painting as well; maybe there's cloth or paper to wrap it in if he pokes around.

Finally he emerges, struggling under the weight.

CC mutters 'I am hopscotchinng up out of here"

He nods and offers her the lighter of the items to carry, at least as far as the manhole.

She takes it and for once does not fuss

"How long until you require your meal of choice?" he asks the shadows.

"If you can gget me something tomorrow night, we'd be good" the voice says
