"I was fine until his ..... parting shot." Still a bit bitter on those last words.

"I don't even remember what it was" She admits "But it obviously got your goat." A pause "I'm sorry, that was not intentional"

He looks around at her dubiously.

"I know, hard to believe"

He settles back again. "Yes. Well. I didn't expect that... rush of rage and I may have overreacted. Again, I apologize."

"It's okay. I messed up too" She assures "We'll work on it.. we know better. I guess I thought I had you all fdigured out..." A kiss on the back of his neck, "SOmetimes I forget you are a suprising man"

A sigh. "I should have handled it differently. I should have invited him for a second drink, one for the road."

A laugh "Well.. yes... in a hearse I suspect"

"As time passes he might have wished it so."

"ooo okay that's.. not so bad.. for me"

"I was going to let him buy a cursed stone... would have worked like I said for a while... then boom.. personalities would get swapped around randomly folks influencing folks... madchaos"

"But I should leave that to the pooka"

"Hmph. You don't want me playing with trolls."

"That's different " she says

She can see him, but she FEELS him roll his eyes

"Fine. They really are fascinating you know? They create their own worse troubles"

"Seelie....." soft scorn.

"Seelie trolls in particular" she admits "And hey, I'm Seelie Part time."

"Yes, but you are beautiful, clever, and wicked full-time."

"Flatterer. I don't feel particularly clever right now, but I thank you" Pressed about him, she leans into his back cuddling

He stroke one neatly furred leg under the water. "When the water grows cool, we'll decamp, dry off, and go rest. You need to hydrate. I have chicken broth and crackers in the bedroom." He promises.

"I'll be good" She promises back, "And eat the broth like a good girl... but sometime later this week I'm going to cook you some of your favorites for a meal"

"Cheesey Spinach lasagna. And your rolls with the flavoring."

"With extra butter? That's not good for you" But he knows she'll make it

"With -just- the right amount of butter." He says, and she can hear the smile in his voice."

Oh that gets him a gentle kiss, still slightly hung over, she's not really pushing her luck. WHen the water cools, she and he slide out and towel off

He does take her to bed, and tuck her in, and serve her broth and crackers, and more water and a set of vitamins (or a sports drink). "Would you like me to stay?" She may notice her bed is -exactly- as she left it.

She eats slowly then, "Please?" A glance to the place by her side.

He nods and climbs in. There's a book on his nightstand. He eats a bit of toast (crumbs in bed? Not on THIS boggan's watch....) and snaps the low-watt lamp on to read. "You doze off if you like." He offers.

"Probably will" She admits.. and snuggles a bit before yes.. she zones out.

He chuckles and draws his book over.... flips it open.... and reads, resting next to her.

And it's not so bad.

No..better than that...
