"DAMN IT, WOMAN!" He launches out of the chair and stalks his stocky frame to the bed to continue packing, now his case is unburdened.

"AND you're back to yelling," She comes behind him and unpacks his stuff as he packs it "Listen to me, you adorable control freak, couples in love do things together. Even dangerous things. They sky dive, they support each other in court cases, they destroy the fabric society, but they do it together"

There are a couple of minutes of packing-unpacking, the boggan growing more and more agitated.

"Will you STOP!"

-HE- stops, and massages his temples again. "Callidora...." A deep breath. "You are a mistress of mixed messages. You do know that, don't you?"

"why should I? you won't listen to sense, you yell at me, I appear in a wedding dress and you don't even try to...after a month without your touch...and I'm the one who sends mixed messages?"

He crumbles, sitting on the slightly suspicious motel floor; even a boggan can only do so much with motel carpet.

She bites her lip, "Don't do that.damn it" SHe bends down to join him

".... thought I'd finally lost my mind." Muttered.

He looks away. "Don't...."

"baby, you haven't lost anything..."

She doesn't move away "Why are you trying to send me away? I'm as good as any agent you have. Yes? "

"Better." Glum, even broken.

"And I explained how distance doesn't protect us from the threats in each others lives so..why won't you let me do this?"

He rocks forward to tap his head gently on the floor. "Because... " tap "... it isn't..." tap "...that I worry...." tap "... the targets will find you...." tap "... I worry..." tap "... the network...." tap "... -I- built..." tap "... will." tap, and he lays with his face in the carpet.

"awww..." she's touched, really touched "oh babycakes, that's so sweet. You think they'd go after me to get power over you? what do they want that they'd do that?"

"Well." Muffled "It is a way to guarantee my silence. That is what I would use it for, at a minimum. Or, to get you to work with them. Or to keep me, I rather think I have value to the network after all..."

She kisses him softly, ,then "If they tried, I'd destroy them. I would. They would be under the mistaken idea that I was softer than you, but the truth is I 'll work with some folks you won't. i would crush them if they tried that."

He sighs. "Yes, that's the legacy I want... the woman I love destroying the network I built. It's positively.... Greek." He sits up.

She swats him lightly "You are such a baby somedays. I want to be with you and all you can think of is your precious terrorist organization. How's a woman to take that? Sorry darling I'd love to hang but me and the boys are bowling for chaos later and we just find shoes your size?" fuming a bit she... "Damn it. I.. I...." A deep cleansing breath "I got them loving my throne ripping boggan blues. Fine. Explain to me, once more how I am a bigger minus than a plus in this, and I will consider, CONSIDER staying elsewhere in this city nearby but otherwise out of your hair"

William can't conceal a desperate hope that springs to his eyes. "Dearest." He turns to her, takes her hands. "You want me to be disassociated from this group, so that we can be open and unconcerned about other obligations, yes?"

"yeesss...." Cautious

With that sinking suspicion he's going to do one of those dirty tricks like make sense

He nods.

"Does it not make sense, then, that we should avoid -more- entanglements? That we should strive to stay -away- from more complicated involvements?"

"But I will wear aa disguise so no one knows..." OOC: But roll manipulation plus Persuasion when you get back

"Fine...fine, dammn it" SHe hisses. "I will find a hotel, a NICE hotel, under a different name and more. I want to be within fifty miles of you when this goes off. Is that ridiculous, perhaps, but I have bent over far enough and unlike the usual times I bend, I haven't even gotten any pleasure out of it. But I am out of the mission, and I will change forms so often no one knows I am town save you. Will that suffice you irritating wonderful keebler tyrant?"

He leans forward and kisses her gently. "Thank you." His relief is palpable.

She returns the kiss hotly, then stops herself "Oh no, no make sex until this is done. I have to have my standards. You ignored my advances, you yelled at me, and you've excluded me. You're not getting a mattress mambo tonight. Now, would you prefer to know the name I'll be using or is that a risk in itself?"

"Yes." He says softly. "I'd like to know. And yes, it is a risk. Don't tell me." Sadly.

He reaches up and strokes her cheek with one finger. "When you appeared... in that dress.... "

"... and then, watching you remove it..." Gently.

A faint smile. "... sitting naked on my suitcase....." softly chiding.

"Don't butter me up when none of it worked. If you'd been that impressed you would have nibbled. Fine. Call me, still. I want to know the instant this job is done. Comprehend?"

"... kneeling here naked with me..." He whispers.

"oh now he notices" A poke "Comprehend?"

"I noticed, Callidora, how could I not?" He eases a little closer. "I understand."

William lifts her hand to kiss the knuckles.

"I -have- missed you." Sincerely.

She allows it, then "Good. I hope you've had sleepless nights with fantasies of me that worked you up only to end at the most inconvenient moment" She sighs and strokes his face "remember the code if there's trouble. Okay?"

He nods, and leans in to kiss her again. "I will... and yes, I did." A pause. "I don't.... indulge... when I'm working, you know."

"Truth to tell I haven't indulged much myself. If I knew you were safe and home, I could have dozen guys, but while you're away at risk, it kills my buzz."

"Hmmmm...." He frowns, thinking, and knee-walks a little closer. "That is a conundrum."

"It's okay. I'm not getting undone. I still have other outlets. " A kiss "Maybe I'll find a stranger in the city, maybe being within 50 miles will help. Okay? If you insist, I promise to take some other guy on for sex purposes while I'm here"

only in a satyr's world would this be a compromise offered

"You...." he traces along her shoulder, down her arm "... could stay. For a bit. And then find someone. I wouldn't want you to suffer needlessly."

There is heat in his eyes, and devotion.

"I just told you I was mad at you and you weren't getting any where with me to..." She observes his look
