ANother night when CC is not at the club but her home

*ring ring*

CC had been staring at the wedding dress, she's pretty sure it's recharged and ready to go. She bites her bottom lip...then the phone rings.

"Hello?"

"Good evening."

"I was hoping for watermelon and ham."

"You sure, haven't lived until I've tried my carrot pie"

"And oh, Dearest, I do look forward to sampling your pie again." Warmly.

"Really? Are you alone?"

"I am. I would not contact you were I not."

"mmm " She eyes the wedding dress. She does miss her little trouble maker so.

"How goes things with catering?"

"I believe I have a client, actually. Catering team is assembled, we should be ready to serve within a few weeks. There's a 'do' happening."

"Quite the affair; all the best people, you know."

"It's in the Bay area, on the Hill? Very fancy, caviar, beet soup, and that drink in the copper mugs? Our work will make quite an impact, all for the good."

"Lovely dear.... I bet the view is fantastic"

She bites her lips.... writes some notes down and texts a few orders for others. She has assistant managers, after all

"I do hope to see things I haven't before, yes."

ANd send an email to her son

"I think you most definitely will" SHe stuffs a few, things, in her purse, then taking a soft breath, "Hope your people are experts"

"Oh, they are the best I could find." He assures her. "At any rate, you know how hectic things can be before a major catering event. It might be some time before I can call again."

Well, THAT Settles that

Billingsworth is in an 'economy' hotel. Not a dive, it's clean (cleaner now thanks to the occupant) but nothing fancy. No kitchenette, ice machine is a floor down, a Denny's across the parking lot, a pair of twin beds and a TV.

A shimmer and... appearing before Emerson is Callidora, dressed in a wedding dress meant to make a man eager for the honeymoon, with a lovely but detachable train. The lace hugs her curves as if tailor made

She seems a bit surprised to find a 'peeakaboo' veil before her green eyes, but at least she still has her purse "Here comes the bride..." humm

"A love like ours is why I'm taking these catering jobs, Dearest. There are some details that will fol....low......" He says to the phone, his eyes slowly going wide at the vision before him.

"Dearest.... I think I might be having some kind of medical episode...."

"I have no idea, dear, but don't I make this wedding dress look good?"

The phone falls from his fingers as he stares.

She hangs hers up ,and pulls the battery up, "Well, this darn dress seems to have forced our hand. I guess I'm a part of this now. What can't be cured must be endured and so forth"

"Dearest?" He doesn't seem to believe it.

"I know , you're a water melon and ham man"

"C....carrots." He says weakly.

She pulls him to her and kisses him hotly

He is embraced numbly, and slowly wraps his arms around her as if afraid to touch her....

She is quite real

He breathes out and leans back, pulling her onto the bed with him.

It's like christmas in white dress....

Gasping, he breaks from her. "Callidora...." worshipfully.

"Oh don't tell me you have somewhere to be" She's breathing hard as he parts

"I... not tonight... wait, what are you -doing- here??" His wits are returning.

"I think traditionally missionary is what you were going for, but if you've missed reverse cowgirl, well, ye ha"

He sits up and is going horrified. "Callidora, what are you -doing- here?!?! And -how-?!? And... what in all the Gods names are you wearing??

"A wedding dress," She says "Apparently it's a prank. You touch it, and you're whisked away to the one you can see yourself marrying one day, mmm interesting that" She does not seem concerned and runs nails along the mattress, the big empty matress

"It's already shot its load" Big innocent eyes

He goggles at her.

"Callidora, you can't -be- here!" he hisses. "It's not safe for you!"

"Well I am here, and I'm not going anywhere now that I am." her eyes spark "This silly item may have pranked me, but it did get me where I wanted to be, or who I wanted to be with."
