The alarm starts to sing song and foosteps up stairs break into a run heding down, Caesar winces then looks at ... "What the hell? this is like a cross between a witch's garden and a pharma why would..."

zara's plan is under way, but agh, that pitch

She grimaces, bearing through the pain.

Caesar frowns at something, "Shit. that's got to hurt sluagh ears" and breaks the device

Susuian comes down and then gapes.

Caesar looks at her, "Care to explain? How come I get the feeling that if I took this to some folks who have my blood, and they rain against it stuff in this... It. would. Match."

Susian "that's..that's not..it must hve been planted"

Caesar raises a brow "Someone BUILT a device to protect nothing? and frame you? "

Caesar's rage dwindles at that, mostly from surprise "Love? Susi, we've known each other for what, a month and a half? Yes, yo ucan develop feelings that fast, maybe even love MAYBE... but this? He takes a deep breath "I don't know whether to throw you out a window or hand you the number to shrink" A deeper breath "Get out. Don't come back."

Tears flow, "Caesar? you don't mean..."

"I dont like hurting you, but fast and over is the best way to do it, leave. I wish you well, just not well iwth me."

He winces bit, but does not back down

And zara manages to focus and not avert, and good thing, because the dougal begins to light up flash paper and fling it towards Caesar, a Foul Fortune! "You take from me, I take from you, your health your wealth, or someone YOU love..."

She gestures - attacking the cantrip itself, a hex on a hex!

A double flash of glamour as she averts the cantrip , blunting it. The wood of the spice rack shatters ...and that is all Caesar loses, spice rack. much better than what it would have been, but one of the bits of the wood splinters off and catches Susi in the ear piece, causing her to scream as it squeels.

Su yanks it out of hear right ear, cursing, and flees.

And Caesar let's her go, then turns to..wherever he last heard the whisper from, "You okay?"

"Yes." Somewhere near - under? - the table.

"Zara? is that you?"Finally

"Oh the chilli is fine I think," A pause "Hey, sit down, take a load off. I have some week old key lime pie I keep i the fridge just in case. You want?"
