"You're fancy. Sure!"

He makes that happen, and goes to the fridge to get condiments out and set up. "Pickles?"

She, meanwhile, is adding a healthy splash of vinegarette and tossing it all.

He plates up the burgers and brings them over to the small four-seat table. "Come and eat."

She joins him with the salad bowl, dishing out to both plates before sitting. "Thanks, Aug"

He shrugs. "No big deal." He grins. "Scouting, I learned to cook. And to bring and hide personal food on camping trips."

"Ha!"

He shrugs. "Not all the guys felt like they needed to cook. Or eat." August tucks in.

Sounds of some one coming into the house.

Her wings flare. "What's that?"

August wipes his mouth and hands as he rises and steps into the other room, motioning Derynwydd to stay where she is.

Colton calls out "Anyone home?" It's his voice, already deepening early for his years.

"Hey Cole! There's food!"

August smiles and motions the younger man forward. "Burgers and salad." He goes to make another patty.

She makes sure he has plenty of salad to tide him through the frying. "We were talking about Carnival earlier."

"Oh great, thank you" He comes into the kitchen "Really? Huh. Yeah. I already have a costume picked out, well, picked out FOR me." he seems good natured about it.

"Picked out FOR you?"

"I got double dogged dared" He admits "Can't refuse that. You know?"

"That was your secret plan? Oof. You going to Rivervale?"

"No" He looks baffled "Why would I... uh... Are you going to Rivervale?"

"No, of course not. I'm tied to Earth Runes now... but... well, I thought with all the trolls, you might want..."

He looks relieved, "Oh, I've made friends with some of the Thanes and their families. They're good folk. Don't get me wrong, I still like Rivervale, and hope to get troll stuff there, but Carnival is multi kith." A pause "Besides, you are my liege. Of course I'll share a holiday with you unless you want it to yourself."

"Not at all! I'm glad you'll be joining us. Is the costume still a secret?"

"Uhm mine isn't I guess. I.." A blush "I'm going as a Disco Ball."

August swallows. "A disco ball?"

"Yup. " He says "I'd be kind of panicked if I weren't a bit in awe of the diabolical femine cunning of the choice"

"I don't thnk I get it..."

"Uh, it was a girl who dared me. "A blush

"Ah." August nods, understanding.

"But why a disco ball?"

"I was wondering how to cover my glass arm, then she said I could make all of me glassy, and I said something about a Disco ball...and she double dogged dared me. Got to do it now." Matter of honor

"Well, obviously. Double AND dog..."

"I failed at creativity. I'm going as a bird."

"Not an angel? Huh"

"Me, an angel?"

He blushes "Well, sometimes you look like one. Sidhe birthright when you're angry, and the wings. And so on."

"Oh..." A little fluff and flutter. "I didn't... they're brown...."

And bronze, and copper, and ivory...

"Uhm, "He looks to August for backup here, "They're not plain brown."

"They are far from plain brown." He confirms. "And you could go as an angel."

"Well..." Blushing now, feathers fluffed. "I made a bird mask."

"Oh you'll make a great bird too" He supports

August has served Colton and goes back to the last of his burger. "You would. And, you could make a new mask. You just have time."

"Thank you,Sir August" he takes the burger

"Sure." to Colton.

"Well... I don't... Sparrows are nice..."

"I love Sparrows." With a smile.

"Do what you like, my liege, it's carnival"

"Exactly. So - disco ball! You best impress this girl!"

"I have to tkae a picture as evidence. "He says 'thinking of getting bert's help Can I invite him?"
