"You're going to see shit for the rest of...watch out for the striped lizard, man. It's right by your foot. You're going to see a bunch of weird shit for the next day or so, man. I got a problem, see, which....usually, man, people forget this shit when they sober up, you know?" He finally stands, cautiously. His legs are shaggy but muscular* "I got a problem, where, like...they don't. So I don't do this, man. When I gave it to Rain-girl, I took off right after, man, you know?"

His blue eyes still vaguely anxious over the uncertain grin* "So you'll remember this. Even when you can't see it, man. You'll probably remember the damn ragdoll walking around out here....I brought it in from outside...and the striped lizard, and the flying mosquito Tinkerbell."

But... why? She loves you, man. That's ... not common enough to run away from.

"Because we don't exist."

And now. Now he looks around, and it's clear, he's more freaked out by that than Luke. Shit.

"Yeah, well, it was cold out, man, was I just supposed to leave them there?"

The Neverlander is flitting over the staked pot plants, glowing a faint blue light*

Fuck. He takes another step back. Uh. Is... does... it bite?

Now he laughs. A full laugh, having to stop and lean on the tree* "Seriously, man? You're afraid of Tinkerbell? Nah, man, he doesn't bite. Watch out, though, or you'll get glitter all over, and that shit won't wash off."

He appears to be getting scolded by the Neverlander. Luke holds up his hands* "Sorry, man, sorry. Okay, not Tinkerbell. Damn."

Never does. He blinks. Went to a Rave once. I think I'm STILL picking glitter out of my hair. But it was in the seventies. So... you know.

"Yeah? Then think how bad this can get." He is moving around to the plants, and squats on his haunches again, grinning. Relieved, and now, a hint of the Luke Nick knows is there. A head bob* "And yeah, I can talk to the damn plants, man. My own kind of magic, I guess. They tell me what they need, you know?"

"Makes it easy to grow, when, like, they can tell you what's wrong, man. Bugs, or the compost, or the water, or they need it hotter."

Yeah, I can see that'd make things easier. Explain why I can't do it.

I mean... my shit's... different. He blinks. It's all... shiny.

"Yeah? What are you seeing?" Interested, eyes bright* "Take a look at Deathdude with these eyes, man. You'll see why the hell the guy creeps me out."

It's like... the air's all shimmery. An' the things around... that lizard man. Freaks me the fuck out.

*A sunny grin "It's cool. Just, like, someone dreamed the little guy up, and when they woke up, man, he had nowhere to go, you know? Not his fault."

So like... when I dream shit, it comes... here? In the... in-between?

"There's another one out here, but you can't seeit. Like a fucking chameleon, it crawled up my leg, man. Scared the shit out of me. And sticky paws, man, makes your eyes water. Ever try pulling one of those guys off YOUR leg fur?"

"I don't know, man. Most of these, I brought here from outside."

I mean. I'm not all that hairy. He grins.

"Yeah, count yourself lucky, man. Mats are a bitch."

He stands again, and is heading around the garden, almost a dance to his step, grinning* "Just, like. Everything's brighter, man, than you usually see."

"Especially you, man. You glow." His grin fades a little* "But Deathdude? It's like....he's wearing these wings of smoke, man, and embers are smoking off him, you know? Lava, or something."

His eyes lift, towards the kitchen, then back* "So, like, yeah, man. Joel and Sarah, they know. And he's been dropping hints. I think Deathdude is getting, like, kind of suspicious, you know?"

He's not... he doesn't feel good. Even not on this, he says sincerely, his eyes raising to the sky. He feels like death to me. But I just want to clean him. His eyes flick to Luke. I'll talk to them. Have a little chat. Explain to them the need.

His eyes widen slightly, and he shakes his head* "No, man. Like...even that, you know, too..."

"Can you hide this?"

I can hide it. Hide a lot of shit from... oh SHIT my Ratatouille!

He jumps at the exclamation, and rushes for the kitchen. Outpacing Nick, probably* "Shit! Sorry, man, I....sorry!"

He returns to the Chantry, soaking wet and worried. He sheds the hoodie as he heads for the kitchen, looking for Nick. Then he goes to the guest wing, knocking on the door, if he isn't in the kitchen*

It seems he's been sleeping the better portion of the day. There is a grumble, and then the door opens. He looks groggy as he opens the door. At least he's back to his normal age. No shirt. Black boxers. Hey. What's... I can still see.

"Few more hours, man. Should I come back?"

Naw. It's fine. He rubs his eyes sleepily with the back of his hand. What's up?

"We didn't get to finish our talk, man. And....gotta talk about Deathdude. Got a dilemma, man." His pale eyes wide and his face drawn, unhappy*

"Tell you what, dude, I'll come back later, fix you up some leftover stew, cool?"

No, it's fine. Y'wanna come in? He looks very disturbed.

Seriously. Now you're worrying me.

"Don't worry, man. Just...yeah. Fucked up, man." He clops in, unlimbering a fatty from his dreads* "Asked to see dude's notes from the trip to the Land of the Pod People."

He looks over the room curiously, as he fishes for his lighter*

He flicks the lighter, takes a pull and offers it over* "You know, the dudes that can look like anyone, be anywhere, and eat magic? The ones he stays in because they're after him?"

Yeah? He shakes his head at the offer. I'm good.

He takes a second pull, bobbing a nod as he pinches it out. He clops around the room* "Nice place, man, why don't you stay in the, you know, wing for you guys?"

Because it's a magic chaos. An' I didn't know if I was gonna stay. He smiles faintly.

He scratches his shoulder, turning to look over the sparse objects on the table* "Guess if you took a job here, man, it means you are?"

Well. Had to. He shrugs. Otherwise I can't contest Jarrod.
