"Fine, yer such a soft touch for the criters" Prissy says "Seems to be a thing around here. Only time Dirk REALLY ready to tear me up was when I eyed Scrot a bit hungry like" She says and keeps going with

"Peach is so sweet though!" Lydia protests

"Not discouraging me to compare the cat to candy" Prissy points out

"You wanna see Dirk's bad side, touch a non-existent hair on that cat."

"TELL me about it" Prissy hurumphs

Lydia actually smiles still craddling the lantern but offering it up to Dagmar now and then

Dag will share the hold, but doesn't ever take it fully herself.

"Why'd they let a kinain carry this anyway?" Prissy si not blind "And don't cry about how I'm a bigot. I'm honestly curious so at least I'm a CURIOUS bigot"

"Not sure that helps" Lydia remarks

Still, Lydia answers "Pity, probably. The Mountain knows I feel left out sometimes" her joy a bit dimmed at the admission it was likely just pity.

"Mmph. Wanting to do something nice isn't exactly pity."

"Yeah, but letting someone unqualified might be" Lydia sighs

Prissy looks over at Lydia, then looks at Dagmar as if to say 'you fix this. I'm a cap. I don't do nice' It's not troll speak so Dagmar can't be sure

"Vali didn't lie. Kinain can and have carried embers."

"I thought maybe he was... just trying to make me feel better" Lydia admits a bit guiltily but perks to hear it was not so

"Dag's a falcon, they pick up lies like dogs pick up fleas, better even" Prissy says "Acctually pisses me off. One time I tried to make fun of Dagmar's hair, didn't work, because I was LYING about it. She knew she was having a GREAT Hair day"

"She does have fabulous hair" Lydia nods

"How having a pooka squire doesn't set her to twitch I'll never know" Prissy goes on

"Connor's a great kid" Lydia says "He likes my singing, and is happy to howl along. And one time? He saw I was feeling down and brought me a stick. And not just any stick, it was a really good one"

Prissy makes a gagging sound at this ... NICE.

"Oh, love him, even though he gives me headaches. Ain't his fault."

"AH HA, I knew it, niceness is pain" Prissy says almost victorious. Ignoring the fact she has done some nice things for kids herself... when she thought no one was looking. Dagmar has, being alert, witnessed one or two.

Dagmar does not feel the need to point that out.

Lydia looks tempted, but looks at Dagmar, and follows the wisdom of the older wilder, and changes the subject as they walk back to Connor rather than any Niceness observed "He's also really good on horseback for such a young kid. Ylva's getting there. YOu're not a bad teacher ,Dagmar. Do you only teach childlings?"

"Nope."

"Why, you wanna learn?"

"I thought it might be fun" Lydia admits "I mean, mom and dad could PAY for horse riding lessons for me I guess, but I'd rather learn from you or at least at Rivervale."

"Well, Lady O is the most beginner-friendly - it's part of why she was my pick. Bucky is well trained, but he really needs..." She considers. "He doesn't quite know what it is to be loved yet."

"Awww , poor guy" Lydia says "I heard his old owner was a dick"

"Watch your fucking language, twatmouth" PRissy fusses

"I'm sorry I..." Then Lydia hurumphs "HEY!!"

Prissy laughs

A soft snort.

"mmph," Lydia adds, then goes on "Anyway, I feel for poor Bucky there, but yeah, Lady O is a sweet heart. Now Star is fantastic. She's gets Aura points just strutting her stuff. "

"They're all meat to me" Prissy shrugs "But you should learn to ride. Good for the gluts I hear"

"You're meat."

"Star tolerates less experienced riders, with me giving the okay."

Prissy grins at Dagmar's response toothily "Chevaleaaan"

"Stop that" Lydia fusses at Prissy, then nods to Dagmar "Oh I am not going to ask for that priviliege until I become decent at it. I really want to give some lessons a try, and I thank you" SHe says to Dagmar " I can pay for some of it if you like?"

She scowls and shakes her head.

Then, a pause... she's seen Jaymes and Tove making faces and whispering over bills. She has.

"I.. don't know how much that'd cost."

"Well, the average going rate for horse riding lessons in New Jersey is $117 dollars per session. I admit , I don't know if you've got a permit or anything required TO Teach but I know you can do it. Still, if that seems too much I could just pay you sixty per?" Lydia inquires "Pretty sure mom and dad would be more than okay with that"

Prissy blinks "$117 bucks Per single day of lessons? Geez"

"That's too much." Another frown, a deep crease appearing between her pinched in eyebrows.

Thinking she means the average price, Lydia says "$60 per it is then, no problem" going for the half "And thank you"
