Vali moves further in and lowers his voice "If I had a magic 8 ball, It would say reply hazy, try aggain later. He was connecting two locatations. Near I can tell is it's messed a bit with the weather"

"I guess that's one of the dangers of being a Rover..."

"Not a job for the faint of heart. Scrying on him while in the Dreaming has proven next to impossible." He looks around "I'm a bit reluctant to brin this up... might freak Sylvi"

She shakes her head and straightens up. "Anyway. How can we help?"

"Well, first, let's try somethig.. come on to the.. okay you don't have a kitchen, the break room? "

She nods and leads the way - clearing off a guitar, a webcam that a nocker has been tinkering on, and a pile of mussed music sheets. "here we go."

"Rigght, get your dish out. Don't put in hte microwave.. I want you to try to cast a spell to heat it up"

She pauses halfway through spooning food onto a plate. "Pardon? I can just create sparkles. Summer doesn't have anything to do with heat, not until the heigher leverls, and then you're talking about like, fwoosh, warriors. of flame"

"Right, but if you made the snow steam..." He coaxes

"She did " Prissy insists

She shakes her head. "I still think that was Prissy. But if you insist, we can try..." She holds out her hands, then looks to Vali. "I feel a little silly. What should I do?"

Thoughts of hot food come to mind. "Mmm... fresh roasted corn right off the grill, still hot enough to melt butter. Hearth Kerri's steamed cocoa. Mama Vi's gumbo pot..."

"Cook, little plate, cook." She instructs, thinking of a folk tale of a magical porridge pot.

She hears the sizzling, and looks dubious, reaching to touch it with a fingertip.

"Yeep!" She jerks back, finger into her mouth.

"Interesting..." Vali says and sniffs "Doesn't smell burned. Now how did you learn that? " Curiosu

She shakes her head! "I don't know! I had a weird dream the other night... there was a..." She fumbles, forehead creased. "A song of power? And a..." Shaking her head. "I don't remember it. I thought I just ate mac and cheese too late at night."

"A dream? And your first bunk for this, with the snow, innvolved a song? Interesting." Vali says "Okay, no rush, I'm not going run you through a maze, but it's possible your drream was more than a dream."

A laugh. "Of course it was." A vague gesture to all around them.

He ponders "Could be goldfinch helping. Might want to talk to Sylvi about that"

"Also, you're now a goat legged grill!" Prissy grins

"I meant more... us, who and what we are... but yeah, I HAVE been spending more time in a Freehold these days then ever before..."

"MM hope you get some mortal outlets?" He asks "Bedlam is nasty"

"Oh she's going tto OWN some mortals at this contest" Prissy says

"No!" She blurts out, then turns a bit red. "Sorry, nevermind. I misheard you there for a bit. Yeah, I've been spending time outside, too. At the apartments, and Rikki and I go into town... when it's not storming, I like to busk on some street corners. Not so much for the spare change, but it's just nice to be heard by different people, you know? You get smiles, friendly faces, and hey... a bit of money IS nice I guess."

"Sorry if I alarmed you" Vali says "Hey, great. I mean, Rikki is a bit wild but can't say she doesnn't interact. And your busking is probably better than some concerts."

She smiles. "So, some how, or another... I have.. fire magic?"

"Or at least sizzle magic... " he jokes "But yeah, looks like early Pyretics. Darned if I know how, but it's welcome."

"So... I can help... take Olgar a hot meal?"

"I do't think i's safe to hit tthe trods right now" Vali looks troubled "itt's your call. You're a wilder, and have faced some hard shit internal and otherwise. Olgar faces some ugly stuff regularly though which is.. well, boss level? "

"No, no... not Olgar. How can I use this to help the Firebrands?"

"Oh that... huh" He ponders "I have an idea, but you'll need Sylvi's help. Cast your pyreics while she casts some spring through the ffire here. it should help ease the dreaming's winter nightmares in the local area and near dreaming. Nobles like to act like they're the only ones with land annd lord are one mojo, but a hold is a hold ad a bale is a bale. "

She nods! "Do you think... instead of cooking things, could I use it to heat things up, like a jacket? If so, I could go out... anywhere, as long as I needed, without getting cold from the snow..."

"Or to warm up others!"

Going out in the snow still sounds gross.

"Actuall yes. I wonder if one reason you got this insight is your strong dreams of warm spots. " He looks amused "You finally pestered the Dreaming enough that it gave you cozy cantrips?"

"HA!" Prissy brays

She turns a little red, but grins. "I can't deny I have been longing for warmth in these winters.... I'll talk to Sylvi."

"Sure.. hey, if I can't viisit back here, Tifanny can. How much do you guys need food supplies? Because Prissy just ate the sliders and wile he General Cauliflower is probably delicious, if you want some more supplies I can make sure we get some"

"We're on a bit of a skeleton crew, but shelf stable stuff that can be nuked is always welcome."

"I can eat a gallonn of Ramen" Prissy adds

"If itt's ramen i'll try to make sure it varies" Vali assures them "Okay. I got to head out... one magical blizzard and everyone remembers I'm the Mountain .. I think Kerri is directing calls to me"

"Wait, before you go...." She thinks warm thoughts, and runs her hands along the shoulders and arms of Vali's jacket. "NOT feeling you up."
