"We can do that, but we're a little thin for now. Can you both rest by the Balefire?"

"Of course. " she says "I'd argue about a horse being welcome in your hold's halls but I've seen Tonto roam around as a bison so..."

Ember laughs "Tonto's funny"

"Alright then." Jess sets Ember down when it's safe and together they go to the Balefire.

The balefire has a crowd but not so big horses can't find a spot. Indeed, many admire the fine steeds

"I don't know if we have any dry shavings or hay or pellets...." Jess apologizes "I could get some blankets maybe?"

"That would be welcome" Cynder says

"I'll see what I can find. Supplies are a little tight." She goes off to do so and if needed she pulls the linens off her own bed.

She has spare linens for winter use that might be quite soft!

That'll do. She brings them back and sets the pair up.

The two settle in, it is late at night and folks soon settle back to sleep. Cinder watches the Balefire, and nuzzles her son "Thank you again, Jessica"

"I'm sorry I wasn't there sooner."

"How could you know? Rain has never gotten THERE before." She says "There is some nightmare in the chimerical side of this rain. That's rare. "
