"I apprecate that, Holger, but while the weather's like this we stick together. Period."

The troll childlings could complain, but he's a good boy and nods "Si, Flamefree. "

"Thank you." she nods, gravely acknowledging the boy's restraint "Ok, let's go -carefully-." and she lifts Rodolfo to lead the way southernly.

And they go... poor Rodolfo is shaking like a leaf whenver they hit water deeper than six inches. Mortals only see a tall blonde woman carrying a mexican boy on her shoulders with a taller boy walking along side her. They search about

Rodolfo's directions were terrible, but she susses out where he might have meant, and that .. that could be trouble. As they close on the area she suspects, she realizes there are street gangs that are not safe for women of any age to be around and they are heading into the territory of one

"Hold." she murmurs, and finds a doorway to stand in. "Holger, guard us." she fumbles to make a phone call back to Fenix to let them know where they are and that they are moving forward on Right of Rescue but if there's anyone who can come out.... please do, to help."

Alas, most are busy but they'll send out someone asap

She nods grimly as she hangs up and wipes the water off her face. "Ok, Holger, you know where we are?"

"Where Sir Jack told me to never go without an adult" he answers

"Right. And I'm here now, so we're going.... but very careful. If trouble starts, I am relying on you to get Rodolfo straight back to Fenix, ok?"

He salutes

"You understand, Rodolfo? If I tell you to go, you are brave and you go with Holger, Si?"

"What is your sister called?"

"Well, her sidhe name is Athasa but her mortal name is Lettie" Rodolfo says "And I am not brave but I will go with Holger" He assures

"Weapon ready, Holger." she makes her ready as well, and leads the way through the rain. "Lettie?" she calls; not shouting, but strong.

He draws his axe

Jess forges on.

There is no answer... and they move on into the rainy slum area...

then, finally, they get a clue on where she might be located

A gunshot rings out

She continues to call, low but steady.

Jess swings Rodolfo down in one motion, tucking him under an arm. She finds a doorway, somewhere, for cover.

"I got this!" A voice says, feminine, young "I think" less certain

Is there a place Jess can tuck Rodolfo out of the standing water? Rain doesn't seem to be an issue but depth does.

Yes. She can put him up on a car hood, it's a junker not going anywhere but that's a plus

Even better.... Jess uses her maul to smash a window open and carefully puts him inside. "Stay here. I'll be back. Holger, with me." and she heads towards the sound of the voice.

there it is, a side alley...where four would be traffickers in a street gang have found out things just got weird. Or, WYRD as the case maybe

A pre teen girl now is visible to them by the power of the Wyrd as a sidhe warrioress! Her flail, the head of which appears to be a large pink gemstone the size of a soft ball, hammers into one even as her shield has a bullet mark in it

Jess can't help but grin a little fiercely as she glances at Holger; he is ready?

Holger grins with his own wolf teeth and nods. In the effect of the Wyrd, they are giants!

"Don't let any of them escape past me out of the alley." she orders, and then with a giant's roar, she charges forward.

Jessica charges forward, the wet surface meaning she creates something of a wave as she does!

She'll use it! Primal to use the water to knock the gang down, avoiding the Sidhe if she can.

It works pretty well as a bunk, throwing two of the four back as if they got hit by a car at low speed... merciful that

Holger's axe whistles out, carving not flesh, but the gun of one of the gang members, knocking it from the third gang members hand.

The fourth one on the sidhe girl tries to get his gun going again only to have teeth fly as her flail hammers him in the jaw

Jess doesn't interfere; the girl seems to be doing well. She follows the two she knocked down with water and attempts to render them harmless.

Not hard to do for a woman her size when her foes are prone... but one does raise up a gun towards her ... she might want to render faster with that one

SHE DOES.

A hard strike puts him out before he can even aim. The second fellow gets a less direct kick but it sets him spinning

the sidhe delights in battle "HA, never bring guns to a giant fight!"

"Athasa, I assume?" she asks, turning her back on the downed me to offer aid.

"Yes..." She says and whollops her foe until he's down. She stands proudly "I think they've learned their lesson. Mercy is the mark of a great warrioress"

"Agreed. I'm Jessica King, this is Holger. Your brother is safe, and we can take you to him and to a Freehold for safety in the storm."
