"GAH!!!" Jess swipes at it, flailing.

Troll strength is impressive and good thing...because this chimera that resembles a slimey scaled lamprey has PULL and bite

Still she swipes it looser, though not entirely dislodging it . Ouch that hurt

"UGH!!!" Perhaps not thinking clearly, she leaps up, races for the bathroom ensuite, and casts Eldrich Prime on the wood handle of her hairbrush, planning to burn the chimera off her face.

THAT.. works remarkably well. Apparetnly the slimy thing is vulnerable to flame... and daring!

It squees and dies, bursting itno dark glamour

Though Jessica might have a light singe herself, and a few ends now burnt on her hair

Icked completely the hell out, she jumps in the shower to steam herself clean.

That was gross. Utterly evilly gross.

And she has sluagh allies

Lots and lots of hot water and steam. Prune-time.

FInally, after proper pruning, she feels clean again. IT's not hard to guess that that thing gave her weird/bad dreams and fed on her! It took glamour from her . Kenning herself she realizes she's down to half her full bar, to use a gaming phrase

Happily, as a Freeholder, she can fix that. She takes herself to the Balefire to sit for a while after she dresses.

She dresses, it's late at night (or very early in the morning) so few are about

The balefire, however, rears with alarm to see her in such a state. Like a friend, it first stats to warm her... then seems to ask what the hell happened? Or maybe it's just her imagining

She settles down, managing not to sag. "Don't know." she says to the sensation of curiousity from the 'Fire. "Bad dreams are real, right?"

It curls about her, reassuring

She lets her fingers drift in the flames, just resting with it and communing.

And a figure joins them, Dame Ash "Jessica? Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine."

"Just had a bad dream and those can be very real, you know? Chimera attack. It's dead."

"Oh my goodness, Jessica, you look positively peeled, and there's a wound on your face. A light one but still" Ash observes "Want me to wake Fawna?"

"No, no need to trouble about it. It'll heal."

"Okay" She offers "Cup of coco or something? I know it's summer but... it might hit the spot"

The fire seems to perk at the offer of a drink despite the fact she won't be drinking it

A chuckle at that. "Chocolate helps everything." she agrees.

"I'll get one for me too" Ash says and heads off to do so

"Thanks." Jess calls after.

"Welcome" She says

And vanishes

The fire fusses a bit over Jessica but seems to inquire of something else.. curious.

But it's hard to tell what. Leaving Jessica to just guess

"You want to try hot chocolate? It was sacred to the locals, way back. I could pour some in." she offers.

It wavers pondering

Ash returns "Marshmellow on the side so to speak to mix as you like" She gives jessica hers.

Shyly, the fire sends a wisp to 'touch' the coco, tasting it so to speak

Through the link, Jessica actually gets a secondary rush of pleasure

"Hey, that's for Jessica, not you" Dame Ash says, then chuckles "I must be tired. NOt like it understands me. You maybe, but not me"

Jess takes a sip to see if the flavor translates to the 'Fire.

It puffs almost as if licking it's lips

of course it doesn't have lips, but that is the impression

"Yeah, it's good." she agrees "Take a seat, Dame?"

She does "This dead chimera, can you describe it?"

DIstaste clearly in her expression, she does.

"Ugh...lecture leech" she says, apparently knowing what it is

"Those are horrid things... they look for weaknesses, areas of attack, and then berate you for it with odd images. They then use your own glamour to fuel it.. .then it becomes a spiral."

She vents a trollish grunt.

"Care to share them? Or too personal?"

"Thanks, but I'll pass on sharing. Appreciate it."

She nods , accepting it. While they aren't as close as Mitra, Ash keeps counsel and boundaries when asked
