It's a burst of flattering poetic slightly syrupy lyrics

She groans and puts it down as soon as she can in her rooms. "Be quiet." she tries.

As soon as she ceases contact, it does stop. THANK goodness

Still, she has to carry it through the 'Hold to her rooms. Great.

Yup. So folks watch her walk by as it sings "Whatcha do with all that blue? All that blue outside of you!" and "Her horns, her horns, her lovely trollish horns" 🎼

Grand.

Diego watches her go "Dare I ask?"

She sits down and drafts a first note back to this knight, nad sets it aside re reread later.

Nope. Diego decides he dare not ask. And moves on

So she gets to writing

It is a blessedly short note.

NO F###ing LIONS! end note

Clearly that is NOt what she wrote

The note written... the roses not close enough to sing at her.

Well, Constance will review it and fix it.

That job done, she has a moment to collect her thoughts before the dust bunnies steal them

And so shall she do; maybe just rest her eyes a moment.

She dreams ... an odd but pleasant dream.

"Welcome to the bowling alley of Happy Spinsters" One woman says "We use the heads of would be consorts who won't leave us the hell alone to hit as many pins as possible" The bowling alley in this dream is large, oddly feminine, and has better looking shoes than some bowling allies. There are books and cats about to enjoy when not bowling.

"STEERIKKE" says one woman in a crown as a beheaded Chad head hits just right

In her sleep, she frowns and shifts restlessly.

A calico rubs against her leg "is this not pleasant for you?"

One leg twitches, freeing itself from the covers.

And in tyhe dream the calico backs up and the lady asks again "Is this not pleasing to you?"

Her frown deepens and she shifts again, "Who are you? Why are you doing this?"

"Doing what? It's the heads isn't it? Dark humor often fails"

"In my dreams; you're making this dream, putting me in it."

Jess fixes her mind, as much as she can, on dismissing the dream and waking up.

The scenery changes to a quilting bee "Hey now"

Clearly her will power had an effect

Albeit not the one she wanted.

"Trouble? " Says the old blue lady kniting a quilt

"Release me from this dream. I wish to be free, and sleep undistrubed."

"Are you speaking as Countess?" The woman raises a brow

"I am Jess. Jessica King."

"Oh, then no" She says and keeps sewing

"Why does that make a difference?"

"Because, of what being a countess MEANS. It gives you authority, and duties, and more. Westward was free. Countess Jessica isn't. But then... Westward doesn't get to make demands , the Countess does"

In her sleep, Jess twitches and rolls.

She flips about

The lady keeps knitting

"I never called myself Westward. I never sought to be a Countess. I -am- Jessica King."

"And who are we if not our deeds? You won the fire. You rule the people. " A questioning brow "And Jessica, do you even know who you are, REALLY are, when the duty of protecting your people isn't there? Aren't you worry you might just... "She pulls the threads she'd been putting together apart "Unravel? You have duty. That's fine. But don't act like you've got much else. ANYTHING Else"

"That has nothing to do with releasing me form this dream."

"Doesn't it? Mmm. You refuse to use your authority as a Countess to demand it."

"I shouldn't have to!" this is obvious "I don't know who you are or why you are browbeating me about how I live my life, but it's not your business."
