Olgar and Jess have worked like this before; indeed, he taught her how to use a war hammer/maul!

And he knows she's got this. Each of them trusts the other to be an asset

"Get ready for a scene shift" He tells her

"A what?" WHAM

There's a ripple as Olgar seems to bend the mindscape around him. Now the enemies are falling down into a chasm while they are on a narrow rope bridge which sways. "Forward . Otem's dream self is ahead"

Jess staggers a bit at the shift. "Oh." and then she moves forward, balancing.

(Dex plus Athletics. Troll cannot botch)

And she makes her way forward...

And find another troll, fighting with a spear in hand against more nightmares. He's handsome, fit, and all business.

Jessica wades in to fight alongside him. "Otem?"

"is.. is that who I am? Careful, these things are dangerous. " he stabs another "Pardon. Foolish thing for me to say. Obviously you know they are dangerous. Hello, Jessica"

SLAM!

"You're under a curse that's changing you to Kithain. Do you wish this, or do you wish to stay Nunnehi?" she asks directly and to the point.

"I would be a troll" he says "But ..perhaps for the wrong reasons" Stabbing

"I would not" Says the other Otem, who looks far more primal than before and very much a Nunehi. He fights with a large obsidian mace

"But perhaps for the wrong reasons" That Otem also agrees

"Guys, I need an answer; you are running out of time to choose." She says with WHACK urgency.

"What she said" Olgar says "The curse is leaining troll as a punishment, it doesn't have to be."

The two Otem exchange looks, as if talking quietly with their eyes, then they both look to Jessica

"Which one of us do you wish us to be?" The troll says

"Yes, which of us would help you more?" The Nunehi otem asks

"Nunnehi." she answers without BAM hesitation.

"I don't think you should choose based on that, though."

The troll Otem looks at her "You fight for peace. I know enough of duty to know I cannot be selfish, even if this might give me hope for.. nevermind." A look to the Nunehi "Do not deny me entirely if you can. We need to understand the kithain"

"You are right" The Nunehi Otem nods "But the curse favors your victory. I am not sure our choice is going to be respected."

"Uncle Olgar?" she SLAM asks the ... well, really ugly guy she came in with.

"A namer is on his way... he needs two things" Olgar tells them "Time, and permission , Otems." He grumbles in trollish ("And I swear, the seelie need to sacrifice their passions gets on my nerves")

"Permission?" Nunehei Otem frowns "He will need my true name. THat is.. no small thing"

"We must grant it, else I will dwarf you and we shall be severed from our people" The Troll Otem says

Jess focuses on whacking baddies.

The nightmare shift form, no longer scorpions, now they are serpent bodies with huge mouths instead of heads!

And the two otems and Olgar keep fighting

"Not to rush, but have you decided??" SLAM.

"I will allow it." The Nunhehi Otem says "I will trust your ally, Jessica. Because I trust you."

"With our soul" the troll Otem agrees

"Allow what? Allow the change or the Namer to keep you Nunnehi?"

"Allow him to undo the curse to keep me nunehi... so we can be of use to you, and the dream of peace" They both say

Then the enemies start to melt.... and the dream scape goes pyschodelic

"Place is starting to look like a Prog Rock cover. Emmit's here!" Olgar observes

And words drip in the sky... music flows...

Take what you need, you think will last
But whatever you wish to keep, you better grab it fast 🎼

"Jessica, we got to go now, or we'll get caught in a saining and reweave" Olgar says "Which we do not want. I"m taking us out. Say good bye quick"

"See you on the other side, Otem!" and she takes Olgar's hand.

And as the song continues, the two leap back to their own minds, their own dreams.

Though the line "It's all over now, baby blue" maybe stuck in her head for HOURS

Jess staggers again, almost dunking herself.

The pool indeed is very wet. Fontaine helps her upright
