She considers it, then says "The warrior won't try to ride me will he? I had a redcap boy who claimed to be a warrior do that once. I didn't like it" Sour face

"No, he or she will walk with you."

A nod "Gracias then. I will go with the warrior"

"Steward, can you arrange it please?" She looks back at the others waiting. "We have a hold in this County that is primarily nockers and other crafters. Skyhook. Would you be interested in going there?" she asks the nocker.

"Why, they need someone to teach em proper Science?"

Then she realizes "oh, for the fire. Sure sure"

"Yes. Ok, good, we'll get someone to take you there." She nods to the Steward at that, asking him to arrange it.

"Ok. Fenix, where our centaur friend is going, can take someone else, and we have a Freehold called The Pitt that could probably take someone. It's ... it's an agressive place, where as Fenix is healing. The Pitt is kind of like a Fight Club, except we can talk about it. And I can keep one more here. What sounds appealing to you?" She asks the pooka and clurichaun.

The girl pooka says "Which one has the better food?"

The clurichaun chuckles "I was going to play for my supper and stay. There's as good as here to me"

"Steward, does the Baron have a minstral or troubador?"

"I'm afraid we're all filled up on musicians, your excellency, at least here"

She nods. "May I ask if you're open to a jam session with my troubadors at Fenix?" she asks the musician.

"Well, I'd be delighted, your excellency. " He bows

The pooka girl says "I can sing, but it costs. I can not sing, but it costs more. More if I practice... don't ask how much to not practice, you couldn't afford it"

One knight hisses at the pooka girl "She is to be adressed as 'Countess' or 'your excellency'"

The beagle pooka wilder winces and says "Sorry your exmancy"

"I'm not offended." she says "Why don't you stay here for three nights, and then we'll see what happens?"

She wags "Thank you, your most trollishness!"

"Ok! What's next, Steward?"

"Well, actually, your excellency, we are done and..."

a figure slips past one of the thanes in the back of the chamber. .Someone says "stop her!"

And she moves forward OOC: Sorry. No, she's trying to approach the throne areaa where Jessica is

Jessica is instantly on guard, but doesn't rise yet or lift a weapon; she watches.

The girl approaching is a sluagh. Holding her is hard, as she squirms. A wilder in her late teens, she whispers something that can't be made out over the noise of the court

"Peace." she says firmly "Please come here." she says to the girl.

"She's not on the docket, your excellency"

That from the Steward

"No, but she is in the hall. Close the court session if you like, that's fine."

The girl tries to speak again even as she gets closer, allowed to. But its hard to hear her over the noise

"Can we have quiet, please?" she asks the rest of the room.

It quiets, at least at first.

The girl speaks "My name is hortensia,a nd I..."

foot steps in place. Light clinking of spoons in glasses. Building, and drowning her out again barely

Jessica looks upwards, then to the Steward. "Clear the room save for the guards. Please."

The Steward says softly "Your excellency. SHe's a sluagh. " The varich says "She is clearly here to disrupt or raise disorder. You should send her away"

"Thank you for your input, and you'll notice the guards are staying. But I want to hear what she has to say."

The court clears as ordered...

"May I remain as well?" The Baroness in black and Silver asks

Jess nods yes.

"Now... Hortensia, you said? What is your message?"

"don't let him wake up" Hortensia whispers, "please."

The Steward flares a bit at that

But the sluagh goes on "the only thing protecting us from him is you. Assign someone else as baron. Send him away"

"I'm afraid I can't do that." gently "But your kith are welcome at Fenix, and elsewhere. And if you need help arranging a new situation, I will provide it to you, and any other sluagh."
