She wakes, ready for a run by the beach, and maybe an update

Actually... a run on the beach sounds AMAZING. She finds some clothes, and heads out.

Oh. Ok, she'll let someone know where she's going.

Indeed, she almost starts a panic among the knights and thanes! Things are so much more formal here.

But Baroness Jett Octavia Autumndelve comes out and assures them yes this is the plan. She is dressed in jogging clothes, but the clothes haven't seen much use

Jess sighs; she didn't want an entourage but....

It turns out a few of her usual thanes from Fenix are there. Phobos and Demos in fact

"Hey, Boss."

Jett blinks as the leader of the County is called 'Boss'

"Oh, hey guys." She looks over the crowd "Do we really need all these people?"

"Nope. We got this" Sir Phobos turns to the others "We got this. Go protect the heir and stuff"

Demos joins in on the scowling

"That's a good point." Jess recommends "We can't let Vaeltilde or the Baroness be at risk just because I am here."

The thanes of Sunkissed waves back a step at the glares then look to Jessica to see if she agrees two redcaps are enough

Then at That, they bow formally, and move to the hold proper

Demos mutters "What a bunch of stiffs. How far back you want us, Boss?"

"Whatever you feel is right." she trusts them.

And with a kind of 'twin telepathy' they give her a good distance while still in range of shooting forward to assist.

Jett looks over at Jessica and says "Your men seem a bit... rough about the edges"

"They're good guys. Been with me from the start. I absolutely trust them with my life."

"Redcaps are very intimidating and that has it's uses" Jett concedes. "Ah, so, a run along the beach?"

"That's my plan; you don't have to if you don't want to."

"Oh, I could use the excercise" She sayss

Then sheepishly she admits "I do fear you may have a slower pace ahead of you if you want me to stay with you"

Jessica nods, and starts out at a walk in the beach.

And Jett keeps pace easily with that. It's a gorgeous day, the weather is sunny, slight breeze

The walk turns into a job, nice and easy.

And still keeping up and even talking "Not many tourists today, their loss"

"Tijuana can be beautiful in place. Where do you hail from, Baroness?"

A smile "White Sands. Are you familar?"

"Florida, right? Never been."

"Oh, it's a lively state to say the least... the Florida Man trope inspires... 'odd ' dreams but it's better than naught. And it's Diverse. I'm Cuban Ukrainian Irish." Wry "At least my host body is." Jogging along "That said, I'm glad to be out of it overall"

"Can't be the heat." she observes; TJ is at least as warm.

"The politics of mortals also affect their dreams" As if that explains it "Also it's crowded...a small kingdom, rich in changelings ... there's not always room to grow"

"Ah." she nods understanding. "You ok if we pick up the pace a little?"

"I can try" She says

She nods, and moves a little faster.

The chatter has to die a bit as Jett focuses on keeping up . For Jess, this is finally a decent if still lazy pace

Still, feels good to get out and stretch muscles.

It does. She's got a good body, a young healthy body and the Dreaming makes it more so. There's a joy in letting it loose.

They run along, all quiet on the shore, but in the water, she sees a pair of eyes peeking out

She keeps an eye on the eyes; she trusts the redcaps to see them too.

Indeed, Demos does! He motions to Phobos and is ready in case the 'eyes' try something

"We're being watched... should we pick up the pace and see... if whoever follows?" Jett inquires

"If you're comfortable with that." she agrees.

"Comfort isn't the prioirty if we're followed"

Jessica nods, and picks up the pace a little, not wanting to leave the Baroness behind.
