Phobos scratches his chin, "We could turn her over to the Mer if we knew how to contact them"

Baroness Jett observes carefully.

Jess sighs. "I suppose you're right, Demos. I guess we should bring her along."

Demos nods "THanks, boss. If it makes you feel better, you're still showing mercy. Me? I'd gut her like a fish. So you're not exactly being mean here"

Phobos nods "Yep, if this were Redcap way, we'd stretch her out with cables tight and play the cords like drums"

The Redwater Nunehi's eyes widen as their intimidation continues... subtly (by Redcap standards) "You are like sharks."

"Nah, sharks eat because they're hungry. But they stop being hungry after they feed. We never do." Demos smirks "You try for the boss again, you try to escape her protection... you become fair game. You make her look bad... you become fair game. And we will enjoy ourselves.. for as long as you last."

The Redwater pales, and goes along meekly now

"Guys....." not thrilled with this.

"I guess this does have the advantage of giving you an opportunity to learn a little bit about us. And I hope we can learn a little about you." she tells the Redwater.

"Caps gotta cap, my liege" Sir Phobos says "But we'll shaddup for a bit. " A nod to Demos "Hey, Demos. The idiot got the message."

Demos grumbles "She better"

The Redwater nods, the fire out of her.

The Baroness observes all this with intense curiosity

The Nunehi finally says "I will need water from time to time. IT is in my nature"

"We can do that. I don't want you to suffer or be uncomfortable. I just also don't want you to make me dead." Jess replies reasonably. "Is there anyone else out there looking to do us harm right now? Pick her up, guys, and let's get her back."

"I was alone" She says

The Redcaps SEIZE her, and guide her along

Mind you, they aren't too rough about it

Baroness Jett watches this and follows them

Jessica nods at her answer, and off they go, returning to Sunkissed Waves.

And returning, they are immediately 'swarmed' by Sunkissed Thanes and knights

"Easy now! EASY." Jess commands "Let's get you settled in." she says to the Redwater, and motions the redcaps "A safe cell, and make sure she has what she needs."

They nod ,and see to it. Some of SK's thanes and kngihts seem to find the Redcaps lack of bowing disrespectful, but Jessica knows the are moving quickly to obey her even without the niceties

"See if you can get her name." she adds as the 'caps depart "Now." she turns to the rest of the crowd "I'd like to get a shower and clean up, but is there something urgent going on?"

"Your Excellency, The Seer wanted to report to you when you were next available. " One says/ "Your Excellency, The Baron was supposed to hold open court today. Shall we post pone?" / "Some of the thanes were to be sent out to collect dross tribute, should we focus instead on guarding, your Excellency?" Asks yet another other

"Right after I shower. No, what time is it scheduled for. No, unless we are short staffed." she answers in turn.

The first one bows "The Seer will be in his study, your excellency when you are ready." //"In three hours" the other says "Your excellency"//"We will manage, your excellency" and that appears to be that

She has been called 'your excellency' in the last 5 minutes more than she had in the last 3 months at Fenix

"Ok. I'm going to clean up and then see the Seer. I'll be in the Court room in three hours. Thanks, everyone. Baroness, you'll be at Court?"

"I will be anywhere you require, your excellency. If you wish my aid in any of this, i offer my services to lighten the burden. I suspect this is no surprise to any that I do" a bit of humor from her

"Probably not." she agrees with the same humor "I'll see you there." and she goes to shower and change quickly before heading to the Seer's rooms.

The shower here is ... elaborate, quite a nice en suite. Perhaps one Luxury she might even covet not that her own is bad. The maid ready to help her get dressed after she's dried off? Less so

"No, really." she says firmly "I appreciate it but I dress myself."

"But what if you wear something unflattering? We have your court dress ready, and the corset will need help"

"No to the dress and the corset." VERY firm.

"Yes, your excellency" She inclines her head "custom slacks it is"

"Just... .clothes. And... hey, if you would, send word to Fenix and ask for some of my stuff to be sent here?"

"I..." She lowers her head "We've failed you"

"No you haven't." she says, baffled. "I have my own stuff, I like my stuff. I want some of my stuff here."

"Oh, sentimentality, yes, of course," The maid says "I shall tend to it right away, Countess"

"Sorry, hold on... what is your name?"

"The Baron asked I be called Sashling... thought it sounded more Russian"

Jess looks at her kithmate "What is your name?"

"Saeunn is my Changeling name"

"Saeunn. I'm Jessica."

"Yes, Countess. " The troll curtseys "Countess Jessica Flamefree"
