As she walks, she can feel the seasons tilt

Oh not yet, bu it's moving that way

Not a shock, really.

The 'scenery' is of flower petals fluttering by on the wind and never landing, and still alive and fresh. There's a smell of barbecue even when there's no food.

Yes indeed, spring's promise and summer's warmth. In her Seelie soul, it's the best time of year.

Even the sons of adam and daughters of eve feel it, they're far from the Dreaming, but they are not untouched by it

Jess keeps her purpose in mind, however tempting the weather and season may be; she's been surprised on patrol before and she does not care to repeat the experience.

So, senses alert, she tries not to be bespelled. There is much to be bespelled by... colorful chimerical birds chasing rainbows in bubble form ! Butterflies in every shade of Sunlight! A nocker dangling from a ledge, clouds in the shapes of childlings, musical notes given form... that sort of thing

She checks in again with the dangling nocker.

Oh wooops yeah, there's a nocker dangling

Jessica comes closer; does the nocker seem to be in distress?

Yup. It's.. is that Symond? Hanging on for dear life?

"Oh... damn." Jessica hustles over to stop underneath Symond. "Hey, you ok?"

Can Jess catch if Symond lets go?

"Do I LOOK furkin okay? I was trying to capture a gift for my boyfriend, TIto Woden who is not here to be useful! "

And maybe... (itw ould require a dex plus athletics roll)

"Let go, I'll catch you." Jess encourages her.

She lets go... and curses all the way down... "Love makes me feel so #$##ing stupid!"

Jess moves to catch; not for the first time.

And catch she does! Symond lands in the big woman's arms smoothly

And is just as smoothly and quickly deposited on her feet, upright, again.

"This is mortifying"

"But thanks" A mumble

"Welcome. And ... I mean, you're not alone. It's happened before. What were you doing up there?"

"I saw a chimerical rainbow in the shape of a norse looking rune... small enough to fit in your pocket so I went for it..." BLUSHing spirals "Because.. well, it would make that moron I adore happy. I tell you, Beltaine is hitting me hard this year "

"Did you get it?"

"No..." Scowl "The wind picked up and blew it away.. I fell, anded upon the ledge"

"Darn." Jess sighs "It's gone?"

"Yeah... I mean, I guess I can craft a simulacrum but a norse rune in rainbow form would have been a find for him. You know he loves that shit"

"Um. Yes. Ok. I just thought maybe we could work together to get it, if it was still around. Where are you heading now?"

"You'd help me find it?" Surprised "Ain't you saving the world again?"

"Sure, I'd help. And, um... maybe later? For right now I'm just on patrol."

"Well, I could Wisp it and we could follow it ?"

"Sure."

She grins with needle teeth "Great, with Nocker Brains and Troll brawn we'll get it quick!" She gestures and light flows from her hand giving chase towards the target

Jess unholsters her maul and is ready to follow.

They make their way down the road following the wisp.

OOC NOPE.

They see the rune shaped rainbow chimera not so far, they close on it..."Let's get it"

While Symond is fixed on the target, Jess keeps her eyes open around them.

And that's when the other Chimera, a large Pot charges from the side!

Anyone familiar with croquet would recognize Jess's tactic; she simply swings her 'mallet' to engage with the 'ball' of the pot.

Symond doesn't see the hug pot at this end of their rainbow but she sure hears the ringing sound as the pot is clocked!

Follow through is important; Jess is ready, and watching around.

And the pot rolls backwards, then rallies, and comes at them again
