"It's the DeBukes who will be furious," Diego chuckled "An Elopment"

"Nothing to say they can't do something in Iowa if they want to later." Jess says firmly.

"Why Jessica, you sound almost protective of the young couple" Diego approves "I agree, of course, I'm just tickled by the small rebellion"

She gives him the King's eyebrow.

"Si, Jessica, I am still a rebel at heart at times. This is known. But I am sure that if the other DeBukes give too much grief you will talk to Clem."

"I'd encourage the couple to handle it actually. They can stand on their own."

"That they can, they maybe a little embarrassed later. Trolls are awfully timid at times about relationships. But I imagine the bride will quietly lift her chin like a Lioness who made a fresh kill"

Otem arches a brow at Diego's lioness comparison, then looks at Jessica "The goat legged ones do not restrain opinions do they?"

"No, they don't; it is there nature." she says evenly "Diego has been crucial to any success we've had."

"Gracias for saying so," Diego nods then looks to Otem "Though if I had my druthers, we would be free of the monarchist trappings. Still the town halls are thriving" A look to Jessica "Speaking of which, the next one is in a few days. There's going to be talk that will interest you"

"Samhain fallout?"

"Ah, no. A discussion on whether Nunnehi are to be granted voting rights at the council meetings, and under what provisos"

Otem sits up straight as Diego announces THAT

"Your people are considering this?" Otem asks

"It's not likely to pass, but it is being proposed," Diego says

"That's progress. Otem, what would your people think of that?"

"I think caution will be the over all reaction. What cost? What provisos? So on" Otem admits

"What's the catch." she translates.

Diego says "Well, predicting this would be important to Jessica, it certainly is to me, I took the liberty of asking around. There are some who are okay with it, provided an Oath is given of mutual defense from each Nunehi. Others think that the vote should be granted only to those Nunehi sworn to Jessica" he says "Others believe asking oaths is too much, and those who have fought by our side should automatically be allowed a chance to vote. Most are currently against it period. They think the Nunnehi don'et let us in their governing, why should we let them in ours? "

"-I- would say oaths are too much. I think maybe we could start with... say, counselors who have input but maybe not a vote? Not -yet-."

"Something like an observer at the UN?" Diego asks

"Not a bad way to put it."

"Do you want to come to the town council meeting so you can make that proposal?" Diego asks her "I was going to protest the oath idea. True Loyalty shouldn't be coerced"

"I'm tempted, but at the same time I don't want it to seem like I'm... stepping in. You know?"

"I see. Would you like me to mention it as an option suggested by a friend? " Diego offers

"How do you mean?"

"I will be speaking to the town council, giving my opinions. I can share your suggestion the nunehi become observors"

"Oh. Um. Up to you, if you agree with it. I don't want you to say things you don't mean."

"Do I ever?" Diego smiles. Clearly in an excellent mood

"It is appreciated, Digo, " Otem says gratefully "That you do not seek to bind my people by oaths"

"Ok, then... sure, yes. Thank you."

"Glad to" Diego tells them both, all around them clean up continues at a rapid pace. Looks liike other boggans are joining in

"Ok. Well. I'm... going on patrol. Check in with the County. I'll take the bike."

"I'll wish you well before others realize your bike means a solo patrol and get twitchy" Diego says

"Thanks." dryly and she heads out.

And so she rides. She loves her hold, but Fenix is more than one building, however magical

As, indeed, Fenix is a part of Renaissance.

And Renaissance needs her help

Whiel things are not bad, there are post samhain chimera... some transformed and not changed back, some new

now most are relatively harmless, if spooky. But a few are violent

These, she will deal with.

It's actually rather a good exercise. Sometimes her people try to coddle her a bit, despite the fact she's a big warrioress with a big maul

And perfectly capable.

Not that she doesn't appreciate the care, of course....

As she shatters the marrow sucking worm with the heads of three old crones, so it can't threaten any one else's marrow, she hears a clapping

Still on alert, she turns, ready to swing.

"My apologies, my liege" Mitra looks over from a roof top. She has some chimerical blood on her armor too "Just that last swing was very nice. "
