"Contrary to what my preference for a lack of pants might indicate, we Ondine can be shy. If you haven't heard much of the heart riddles searching we do, that's on me. "No need to risk that." she assures him "I admit I didn't know you were on a quest."

"Oh I have been for far longer than you have had your current life," He says. "I've endured much for it. " He says "You may notice my kind are not .. strong on the land we are banished to. Often we appear lame, or in my case, I have a hard time 'breathing' " he does tend to get wheezy, "It is another price we pay, but I will say, save for your odd preoccupation with pants, you have been a kind host to my anchor where others were not always"

"I thank you. I am very fond of you all" He admits "The little ones are a delight, and you wilders are always storming off to fix the world. While your grumps shake their head and tend to smaller things. Most curious."

"It's not like that with your people?"

"We have similar stages though we don't call them that. " he admits "But as a rule, we of the slow empires are just that, slow, even our folk of the air who are always talking or racing about aren't always as...quick to act as those of you born of meatier dreams. It can take glomes decades to decide on a minor matter as a people for example. That's not universally true, little is, but it explains why we have a hard time understanding you I think"

"And vice versa." she agrees.

"I suppose it must" A smile at that "Ah well, I hope the little whisperer girl is well. She means to get into trouble I am sure, but that is in her nature"

Jess nods. "We'll keep an eye on her. As much as we can."

"You have your own to watch" He says "I understand that"

"Well, you're one of our own."

"Thank you, Jessica. I like to think we share a bond. You to the fire that feeds my pool, I to the pool that your hold uses so well. Together we help heal this land"

She smiles and offers her hand to shake.

He does so "Always such a strange gesture, yet it is full of trust" His hand feels moist, but of course it would

"Do you need anything?" she asks.

"Oh, not much. I enjoy the taste of the food, and I have friends such as yourself. At times I long to visit the greatshores of the elder waters, the ocean, but my kind is not permitted to return there. An old ache." He ponders "I do enjoy music. But the troubadours are happy to play for me"

"Good."

"Do you need anything from me?"

"You already to plenty, Fontaine. I've seen you give til you're exhausted. And I thank you for it."

"Ah, well, it is no less than your own example" he points out

A small chuckle. "Well. Thank you."

"You are most welcome. Pardon, speaking of rest, I believe I shall take one. "

Jess nods, and moves on.

Samhain was a nervous time for Fenix! Jessica hated the holiday normally, and with the threats to security abounding, it seemed all the more likely to risk danger, and yet, almost all know murder on holidays/holy days is a BAD idea for the one doing it

So it is, that Jessica stirs from the mist looking a a mess, but blissfully, not a bloody one.

She seemed to have recalled a shadow king being selected... but it was by her! Was it Duff? She hoped not. Misty memories aside, that was a part of her past she wanted in the past.

Her costume had shifted somewhat.

She carefully takes stock; where is she? WHO is she?

She's near the fire.. HER fire, she feels beastly enough to be a touch possessive yet. Oh hell, what's she doing in the priestess outfit?!

Actually, it makes sense. It's a sacred night and all that. But she might find herself searching for a cloak or a wrap

Or a blanket. Or a shroud.

Nancy staggers about in her cowgirl outfit with assless chaps "What did I drink? What didn't I drink?"

Maria and Rosa appear to have retreated to sleep sometime in the night.

Diego is dressed like an oscar, gold body paint, though he wore gold shorts for modesty. He seems to be on the path to recovery and says "Jessica, I don't know whose coat this is, but if you'd like.." He offers a treanch coat so she can cover herself "It appears clean"

"Thank you." she takes it blearily and covers up with it. "What's our status?"

"I'm not sure myself" he says "A QUICK check shows no injuries. Fontaine is already looking about. Tito Woden cast many omens and wrote a few down that he will translate later with help of Dame Ash. We're not all fully accounted for, but this early in the after, that's not uncommon"

"Right." She stands carefully, keeping as much covered as she can "I'm going to shower and get dressed."

"Fair, shall I begin the clean up? "

The trench coat is sizable enough to provide a lot of cover, given she's a troll

"Yeah, please do. Get who ever's mobile to help. I'll be back out in a bit."

"Of course, it's hard to tell exactly how it went, but I had a wonderful time judging by my own mood. " he waves

She grunts, and heads for her own chambers and the shower. And Clothes.

The shower is a blessing, and someone, someone on the ball, actually has today's change of clothes ready for her. Comfortable and modest

Hell, she might even have laid it out before nightfall herself.

She cleans up and dresses, then heads back out to help with clean up.
