And a voice whispers "Pardon the intrusion?"

Jessica turns to look.

"Certainly?"

The nun sluagh whispers "Tea is over, we were wondering how complete a report you wished of our results? We assumed as much as possible? We promise the night of no teeth will be memorable"

"Oh, Sister... yes, please. I, um, took the liberty of telling him I'm a witch, so if I can tell him details of his dream, rather, nightmares, it will add credibility to that."

"Ah, did you want mention of you made while we terroize him?" She offers

"No, I'd rather not. Let him think his nightmares were predicted by me, known by me, but not that I was in them, please."

"noted," She says "The holy mother smile on you, Jessica. It maybe through fear he'll find redemption. We are doing God's work"

"Thank you, Sister."

"Dame Ash, do you want to tell Ariel that Charles will be joining us soonish?"

The sluagh nods and slips away

"Sure" Dame Ash says "Delighted" And she moves away too

Jessica checks to see... what's next?

It seems she is.. huh. She's not sure what she has.

May as well; then a patrol. She does to get those reports and review them.

It appears Calder the Selkie is getting high marks for his aid by the sea

Tidemarch is normally reserved in his reports; Jessica reads this one with interest.

It would appear he saved someone from drowning, a treasured kinain

Who...? she looks for details.

Details on THAT are sparse. Perhaps the kinain is dear to the Baron, and that in itself is interesting. Tidemarch never really seemed to care much for the fae blooded save as mere servants to enchant and even then not much

It looks like there's more mer activity as well

and from Tweak's side, there's a sighting a Wopletingler in the city. Technically kithain

Still reading the report, she goes to the library to refresh herself on Wopletinglers.

Once Chimera, they became true kithain over time. Sadly,, every kith seems to have a flaw of some sort or vulnerablitiy, ahd they are boht efficient eaters, and over grazers. If they stay too long in a freehold, they can, without meaning to, weaken it

They tend to look a bit like a mish mash, jackolope looks are not uncommon

It is possible the Woppletinger will want haven. Some freeholders refuse, others allow it, but only for a single night. One Liam lord with a weak hold paid for a hotel room and gave one some dross

A soft groan, and she takes that with her to her chambers. Maybe to burn it.

Looks like a hefty load

Not an issue for a troll. She slides it under the bed,, gets her maul, and heads out on patrol.

The patrol turns out to be peaceful. Locals give warm greetings as they go about their work and time

Good. Jess could use a peaceful patrol.

It's actually rather soothing, sunshine slowly setting, light breeze to take summer edge off, bustle of folks ... music here and there

And yes, she sees Nunnehi and Kithain also patrolling.. together

It's.. extrodinary

And it makes her smile.
