Jess shakes her head, and goes to make sure the information and reports she promised Olgar are on the way.

She might see Countess Ellie comforting a sidhe childling (Dougal, judging by the girls elbow joint) , the apprentice sniffs "My master was just swept away... by the monsters.. there was no Silver anymore"

She makes a mental note to get the chldling over to Skyhook. With a chaparone.

"It was scary, when my guardian was taken away. But you are safe now, and they're want you to be safe,"

"Thank you, Countess" Niamh says tring not to sniff. the girl "I know they would. It's just, I was always told where there was a dougal, there was a way, but I couldn't find a way"

"My trod skateboard broke too"

She holds up the pieces of a pretty cool steam punk skate board

"The way isn't done yet, though. You're just at right now, not the end."

Niamh stops "That's.. true. I never thought of it that way, thank you, your excellency. " A hug is given then " I shouldn't have hugged. You outrank me"

"Well that's silly" Ariel says "I hug her all the time" Ariel is carrying comfy pillows for other kids here who are staying over just a bit.

Ash whispers to Jessica "Ellie's got the kid department of things going well don't you think?"

"Hugs are fine. We're childlings, aren't we? We need them."

"She really does." Jess murmurs back.

Niamh nods "I sure do, at least today" And she hugs Ariel too, causing the pillows to scatter, but that's okay

Ash nods "I hope she's not blaming herself" Still a whisper "We ALL tried. ANd some of the prep did help"

"So this Beaumanyn man," One female troll Childling is telling Holger "he says to mama, Rover lady, you should be careful.. I got a powerful bad feeling, but if you gotta go, don't forget to oakenshield just for safety. And if hadn't done that, we'd be dead as door nails.... mama's healing up over there so I'm fine. You best protect the othern"

Holger nods, then stops "If you wish, you may guard with me"

"Shoot yes!" The more exhberant troll says "Mama said to stay out of the way until someone asked me to do something. NOw I got an excuse. Let's guard some charges!"

Her lips quirk at that.

"Case in point" Ash smiles

And Elle can see taht that girl troll was warned, maybe a beaumayn spread HER warning. Or at least something like it.

It helps, yes.

More than the hot cocoa did? That is a good question.

Salma, of course, is somewhere reading to a group of other kids, be they locals hiding from nightmare chimera, or new refugees. She has likely added to the action, allowing Dorothy to fly the witches broom (or what was the point in getting it?) and it turns out Dorothy is half witch, and instead of going back to Kansas, is the new Wholesome Witch of the West

Elle may see Jessica and Ash taking a peek on them. She is a perceptive girl.

Niamh says "WHen all this is done maybe I can build you something, your excellency"

"Please just call me Ellie?"

"Well, okay, but it goes formal court I'll have to abide by rules" Niamh says "And just Niamh for me until then. Would you like me to make you something sometime , Ellie?"

"For court, yeah."

"I'll make you something for Court" And Niamh nods in agreement, then smiles "That was a joke, kind of"

Ellie smiles back!

Salma makes sure to look for any nunnehi kids that may look out of place. Pride can be hard to deal with, especially if they might be afraid, after all, they were enemies, until recently. If needed, she just PLOPS down near them and starts reading the book to herself (aloud, of course), and if they happen to listen, well, that can't be helped.

One nunhen girl with fire red stripes on her mein eyes Salma cautiously, but then starts to listen

Noting the red stripes, she picks up a new book. This one has a wild-looking girl on the front with a set of wilder looking pigtails!

In spanish, she starts, translating as she reads in her head easily.

"Way out at the end of a tiny little town was an old overgrown garden, and in the garden was an old house, and in the house lived Pippi Longstocking..."

The little fire touched nunnehi blinks, and grows very curious of this Pippi

Continueing, and if the book lowers a bit to show the illustrations, well, just so.

"The most remarkable thing about her was that she was so strong. She was so very strong that in the whole wide world there was not a single police officer who was as strong as she. Why, she could lift a whole horse if she wanted to! And she wanted to!"

And Niamh seems to be more calm thanks to Ellie. "Did you want some ice cream?"

And sure enough, ice cream is being served, a pooka grump has brought in a cart

"Have you ever had a churro, Niamh?"

"No, what's a churro?"

"Oh, you MUST have one with the ice cream!"

Meanwhile, Salma has found a determined little nunnehi

who is utterly focused on the story "Go on.. what did she do next?"

"Oh, the most terrible, wonderful things." Salma continues on, speaking of Mr. Nilsson the monkey that wears a hat, a Pooka favorite, and the neighboring kids who are very clearly boring mortals, but soon seem to be open to adventures, and possibly even dreamers!

Niamh eats a churro WITH ice cream, "That's amazing. How come more people don't know about Churros with ice cream?"

"I don't know. It's a tragedy, isn't it?"
