The Nunnehi in her area nod to her and yes, stop to talk ... they are busy too but they seem to have been surprised by the courage shown in helping even their own people by their former enemies

She makes sure they have food and drink, healing, and comfort.

And it is Otem who speaks to her most, as he waits for his chipped shoulder to be tended "Yes, your people do well, Jessica. Our People work with them. We should both be proud"

"I am proud, yes."

Someone comes up and starts to apply a bandage while they talk

"The haven of our people, the one on the hill? Is fine. Our medicine is strong enough to repluse enemies there"

"however there are new dark chimear on some of the paths in the wilds. We may need to be extra cautious"

She nods. "If you tell me when and where, I can try to arrange patrols in those areas. We're stretched thin, though; I will also order my people to stay out of the area except on patrol in groups, cut down on traffic."

"We need to coordinate more, yes, " A thought "perhaps we can make a habbit of it"

"Been trying to make that habit, yes." she agrees.

"How are you? You started patrols early I hear, then stayed to orgnaize... are you eating?"

"Yes, we had dinner just.... um, a little bit ago."

"Dinner?" A brow

"Is not DInner normally in the evening?"

"We've been busy!"

"what i'm saying is... by now, you've missed breakfast and are in danger of missing lunch" Otem looks at her "You should eat. I've learned your ways. And I know to release the boggans upon you"

She glares, but not with malice. "Fine." She walks off to get an empenada.

The boggans think she should eat more than that, but they're so swamped that they can't really bully her properly YET

As Jessica munches, Duff comes in, carrying a wounded childling.. A nunnehi

Jess puts down the food and goes to him. "The spa." she says "They seem to heal best there."

"She's hurt bad, " He nods and moves that way

"Jessica? ARe you all right? Need more help?" he asks even as Fontaine takes the child from him

"Kinda every hand on deck, Duff. Phobos and Demos are setting up the patrols, Diego's handling supplies, Ellie's in charge of welcoming refugees. Pick your poison."

"Will do" He nods "I got contacts who can report on 'odd things' which may help. I'll pass it on to constance or Diego, whichever"

"Good. Fontaine?" she asks for the childling's status.

"She came close to dying, if not for Duff, she would have passed on" He says "She's sttable, baRely now, the pool is ..tired"

"Then we should let it, and you, rest. I'll tell Otem. We can at least move the Nunnehi wounded to a comfortable place to rest even if they can't use the Balefire."

"Thank yoiu" Only now does Jessica realize that the husk of Fontaine looks ready to collapse ..to break into water. He has drained himself for hours to help them all

"Rest." she says gently, with a concerned expression "No need for pants."

And with that, he turns to water, splashing into the pool, leaving only a pair of pants floating on the water.

Still worried, and perhaps feeling a little guilty, she turns to organize the movement of Nunnehi allies to resting areas.

Reading them, she absently searches one-handed for the discarded empenada.

She munches and realizes, she's got more food. She only turned her back for a moment!

Well, food is being moved all over with one thing and another. Trays of it. She grabs something else, and a drink, reading.

She nods slowly. "I think I follow. Seek a healer, or rest by the Bale. We've got a lot of wounded, might need to move you around but... you have the County's hospitality."

"you need any ting, you ask ole barney, you hear me now?" But he rises

"I will. Mostly I want you to rest and heal."
