"Perhaps young Ellie who is a Countess as well, should be put in charge of greeting any childling refugees? when she awakes, of course?"

"I think that's a good idea." But she checks with Dame Ash with a glance.

Dame Ash nods "She will hear about this either way. And she IS a noble. She needs practice at this sort of thing"

"You're absolutely right. Greeting any childling refugees and... maybe helping bring supplies to all refugees?"

Rosa nods "She will want to help, to take action"

"We can make that happen. Dame, what's the situation out there on the streets?"

"Word hasn't gotten out yet with most. So most are sleep blissfully unaware"

"Well, we're going to wake some people up."

"Understood, your excellency. " SHe says

"I'm going to go take a patrol, I want people out looking for refugees and get those messages out to the other Freeholds. This is all-hands on desk."

"Right away, Countess" Ash says "I'll alert everyone. Double Duty."

"Thank you." and she goes out on patrol.

Then comes back and changes out of her duckie PJs before REALLY heading out on patrol.

It is a credit to her staff and friends that NONE so much as smile about that

She does not plan thi sto be a lengthy sojourn; she wants to get a feel for the state on the streets, then back to Fenix to help with the... helping.

Jessica keeps a tight close patrol, mostly this is a way to spread word in a calm and orderly fashion and show folks all will be well

Of all the things she was expecting, a Selkie falling out of the sky was not one of them... but there's one falling from up there! And he's about to splat. SHe doesn't think the guy suicided, there's not a ledge near where he is. But a 40 foot drop is going to hurt. She has but a moment to act

Hop scotch! She spends the Glamour and uses the cantrip to lessen the fall.

Glamour helps bypass the need for the bunk, good, time is off the essence, but will it work?

(Her level in Wayfare plus her Fae realm, or best guess)

The glamour fuzzles in her hands as she fails to get a moving target, the Selkie continues to plummet.. oh crap he may bust like a pumpkin on hard street

"Damn it...." she dashes forward, hopping on one foot in a hopscotch pattern and spending Glamour to try and get under the Selkie and slow his fall, or catch him.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" He says, sagaciously.

As rae volunteers for yet another PC , wondering perhaps if her joke is being intentionally misread by an evil ST, .. our heroine, Jessica, gets under, and leaps up to catch the Selkie. He groans wondering for a moment if his spine just got broken but the troll is not one of the rare stone skinned ones, and while armored, knows how to cushion his fall, taking the brunt herself. They tumble to the ground

"Are you ok?"

The man in her arms is large - not to a troll, but tall, and with a muscular chest. Well proportioned - swimming as exercise will provide that level of tone. Right now, he is dazed, long hair trailing from a head that leans against her shoulder, and he mumbles. "I thought I was dead for certain..."

"You probably would have been. Glad to have helped. Can you stand? Walk?"

It's a blur. HE had been around the Gulf of Mexico, he'd had a fight with a former romantic partner and.. well, there was some dumping. And, well, there's a whole different ocean here, change of scenery... in the Selkie's line of work he can work almost anywhere where there's an ocean within an hour

"I'm not sure I can." He says, honestly. "Maybe if you lend me an arm?"

She nods, and stands. All. The. Way. Up.

And offers her hand to help him up.

He looks up, All. The. Way. Up., and finds his cheeks flushing, just a little. He takes her hand in his own, a strong grip though more slender than her own, and with help, he stands, wobbly.

A smile. "Not used to ladies this much taller than I." Pretty tall for a selkie, he is.

"I can take you to the local Freehold; I was heading there anyway."

"I was... I'm not sure. It's fuzzy. I was on a sea-trod, I believe. Rather, in one, there are places where silver runs in currents, it's not exactly the same as on land, but safer than open ocean in the Dream... suddenly, I'm swimming through the air?"

He recalls vaguely a trod ..can a trod dry up?

"I can't tell you where my boat went, but I am glad she didn't fall on you. Sweetest little sloop you've ever seen, but it would give even you a headache..."

He blinks, blanching a bit at a thought. "What could cause a trod to... disappear?"

"There was an incident in Georgia, throughout Willows, it sounds like. I'm just catching up myself." she walks him to Fenix.

Once at Fenix, it seems there are bustling boggans that rush him away, saying something about a healing pool? He glances behind him, as he's pulled off, and protests, weakly, "But I didn't even get the lass's name!"
