"Will you have more to eat and drink?" she offers the elder.

"Very kind" And they do... but soon after Otem, The Elder, and Sir Phobos are on their way out

Jess goes to check in on how the supplies are coming, for the Nunnehi.

"The DeBukes are on their way" Diego tells her

"That is good, for backfill. What about our current supplies? Can we send them out?"

"Yes, though the ladies are insisting on SOME cooking and packing them in gift baskets"

"I won't argue. I know better."

"Exactly. Some fights are just too draining" He says "Oh, Mitra is sleeping like a log"

"GOOD."

She seems irritated.

"You seem a bit annoyed." He observes

A small huff, an exhale. "She over extended herself for me."

"She's your friend" he remindss "And, probably some feudal nonsense in there too about being in service to you"

Hmmph."

"Just like doctors make the worst patients, I suspect trolls make the worst rescuees"

"You can't punish the woman for doing what you would have done if the positions were reversed" he adds

"Who's punishing her??" Jessica seems almost affronted by the idea.

"My apologies, you're right, no one is punishing her,but you did seem angry with her for being a guardian to you even as you would be to her. Did I mis read?"

"I'm not angry at -her-." Jessica grumbles "I need to gather all the notes from today and get them to Constance, if she's around. Leave them in the library if not."

"Ah, Constance. Yes. Well.. I believe she's on a date with a thane"

"But she mgiht call it short if you texted her"

"No. I'll just give the notes to Flex and Specs, explain how important it is. Thank you, Diego." And she goes to gather up ALL THE NOTES.

Flex and Specs show their guns to impress they are ready for heavy lifting of any books required

"Thank you, um, boys but... it's just these notes. But they are VERY important to the war effort. Can you protect them for Constance?"

Her response are macho manly grunts of assurance

Theyr'e not like this girly man nevers. They can focus!

"Ok, then, here you go. -VERY- important, guys."

They salute

"Thank you." She departs, but not without looks back.

And she sees them doing push ups on the notes

She almost objects, then just sighs and moves along the hallways, looking to see if anyone she sent out on a mission has returned.

Holger is there on home patrol in the halls. Jaw up

Jessica gives him a fist-to-heart salute as she passes him.

Well, THAT Makes his day. He returns it, of course and she passes on

She does.

"We got another one" Demos calls out

"Another what?" Jessica goes to find out.

"Chupacabra" He says

"We did??"

"Yeah..." He says "Another one down"

Jessica hurries along to see.

And there's a Chupacabra corpse. It's throat torn out

"What got it?"

"Or, who?"

"Me" Demos says

"Good job." she approves. She crouches to take a closer look.

It's an ugly thing, looks like a cross between a deformed Coyote and a shaved monekey

She exhales, frowning, and stands.
