The Scribe looks up and bows "Your excellency?"

A slightly pained look crosses her face, an inward wince before it's gone. "Hi, Constance. Sorry this is short notice but do you have time for a meeting?"

"I... yes. I can make time. WHen?"

"In about 20 minutes. I need Tito-Woden too."

"I'll be ready" She says stoicly

"Thank you. Do you think Flex or Specs could find Tito-Woden? I've got some food and drink coming too, if there's a safe spot for them. If not, we can just have them nearby. Otem is joining us."

"I'll arrange it. I just need to.. I'll arrange it" She assures

"Can I help?"

"Not with this" She says a light blush to her cheeks for just a second

"I'll be right back" And she slips out, possibly leaving a confused Jessica

Tito Woden shows up "We have a meeting I'm told?"

Definitely leaving a confused Jessica. So she goes to see what is available in the stacks on Chupacabra.

"Oh." She stops "Yes. About 15 minutes."

"Ah, I'm early" He says

There are books on various monsters. One book in bright yellow has green lettering in a title that says The Horrible Wicked Thing that Eats Books!

and there's a bite out of the corner!

Ah ha, here's one on the Chupacabra

She takes it to the table to look through. "How are things going for you, Tito Woden?"

"Oh, Symond and I have been fighting" He sighs "Nocker women are perplexing"

"You... and .... Symond?" she blinks, pausing in the act of taking a seat.

"Well JUST Dating" A blush "We're like older wilders now"

No they're not, they're now in their mid teens

Jessica, now in her mid-20s, doesn't say anything except. "Um. Good for you guys." supportively.

"Well, guess it's hard all over romance wise. You're dateless all the time, and I saw Constance canceling her date with Thane DeBuke"

"You know, Tito Woden, not everything is.... " she stops and takes a breath "...I'm sure you and Symond will figure things out." She sits, and starts skimming the book.

"Not everything is what?" He says confused

"Mm?" reading.

"You said not everything is... then seemed to switch gears. Now I'm curious. We powerful magic workers long to learn more... " A pause "Also if it will help make Symond happy I do want to know"

"Tito Woden, if I knew how to make nockers happy I could retire."

At that, he sighs "Yeah"

Constance comes in "Ready when you are, Countess"

Otem joins them

"Thank you all for being here, I know this is short notice." she begins, and then details the encounter with the Chupacabra and her suspicions as voiced to Otem.

Constance takes notes

"Otem... will you tell us what you can on this issue?"

"The use of Chupacabra Chimera to drive off Invaders... parddon me, Kithain, is not new. They were goat killers, and that has translated to being natural predators on Satyrs. WHile Satyrs are not the most common foes Nunnehi face, the terror the Chupacabra can cause is at least a distraction for other means"

"Is there one group or another that prefers this method?"

"The snakeskin tribes are cunning and often use such as decoys" He says "But all the tribes have seen it work"

Tito Woden ponders "you say this could be a distraction?"

Otem nods at that

"What's your best assessment about what's going on, Otem?"

"I think you should see what has gone missing or may have been done while distracted by the Chupacabra hunt" Otem says

"I'll run some omens" Tito-Woden says

Jess nods. "Let's put some runners out, teams of two, and trickle word to the Freeholders that we need as close an accounting to the census as we can get, Constance."

Constance nods and writes it down promptly

"Otem, you said this could be a distraction. From what?"

"A raid of some other resource or the like. I think the head count you propose is wise"

She nods. "Constance, I want to know if any County resources have been impacted, too." she pauses "It's possible this was... a feign. A test? To see what we'd do?"

I don't do well on tests...
