Jessica gets a surprise hug from Diego "Forgive me, Jessica, but I can't thank you enough for helping take out that Chupacabra"

"Um." nonplussed "You're welcome ... Diego , why didn't you say anything about it?"

"I learned about the report only slightly after Dame Ash did" He says

"Nancy told me of it"

"Oh. Ok."

"Sorry, Jessica. Those things are nasty to my kith so it's quite a relief. "

"I don't think it -wanted- to be here... were any satyr killed by the Chupacabra?"

"Only one grump injured. She's recovering at the Pitt"

"Right. Do you think she might do better here?"

'now that she's recovered enough to be moved? yes I think this place is superior for healing"

"Do you want to work that out?"

"Be delighted." he says "Any word for Mitra while I'm there?"

A smile. "Give her my best."

"I will.... " He offers with a smile

"Do you know where Otem is?"

"Yes. He's in the sparring area"

"Thanks." And she goes there.

He is practicing , a mace of sorts striking and whacking

Jessica waits, within sight.

He works it well, good form

Jessica ponders the Chupacabra, reviewing the incident for some overlooked clue.

Nothing really omes to mind

But otem turns "jessica?'

She nods. "When you're done, can I have a word?"

'i am finished now" he assures

She nods, and brings him the towel and water bottle usually stationed nearby.

"I'd like to talk to you about a chimera that was concerning our satyrs, and where it might have come from."

"go on" he asks

"And thank you"

"Do you think the mainland Nunnehi might send a Chupacabra to ... occupy or even attack our satyrs?"

A frown then "Yes. Very likely"

A deep breath.

"I -think- the Chupacabra we destroyed was forced into the city, away from its usual prey, to .... to make it angry and scared and hungry enough to force it to attack our satyrs."

He nods "Yes. I am ..familiar with the tactic"

"It is a common among Nunnehi?"

"Not common, but when the invaders came we relied on it.. and by we I mean some of us. We have no goat tribe so the Chupacabra are more a threat to our herds and food supply than anything else"

"Do you think I should talk to your people about this, directly?"

"If you wish, i will tell the elders youw ould like to. i dodn't know if they know much more than I do on this old tactic"

"Do you know who, most likely, is using it and what they are likely to try next? Or how to counter act it or better, use the tactic against them?"

"the mainlanders... perhaps more if they have others, and there maybe a ritual"

"I'd like to meet with Constance, and Tito Woden and you. Talk this out. Are you able to do that?"

"Meet in the library." and after making arrangements for food and drink to be brought there, she goes to find Constance, hopefully.
