"Ok." reluctant agreement.

"Good. Excuse me." A brief salute to the room, and she turns and goes.

Jessie runs after her.

Mitra bows, then turns to Jessica only to see her running after her mom

She pauses and turns when she hears the footsteps running after her.

Constance says softly to Mitra "I have to keep a record of all this. And she's not going to thank me for it"

Mitra smirks "No. Not at all"

Brekke finds herself bound at the knees by a pair of strong-if-small arms, Jessie face-first in her thighs.

Mitra moves to follow, but from a respectful distance

She rests a hand on Jessica's shoulder, reassuring. "It will all be all right, Jessica. We will figure it out. You and I and all of the people who want to help. We will figure it out."

She nods, her face going up and down against Brekke... then she releases her and stand back. A warrior's salute.

A salute in return, then, "Will you see me to the trod before you take your nap?"

Mitra whispers something to a servant and sends them off to the kitchen

Jessie nods and walks with Brekke to the trod... her little hand slipping into Brekke's bigger one.

Brekke does her one better...she bends down and picks her up, carrying her on her hip. "Do not fear. We will do all we can."

...the hip that doesn't have a double-bladed battle axe on it.

"Moommmmmm....." embarrassed.

"Humor an old woman," she replies with a hint of amusement. She goes directly back to the trod room...but does not rush.

Phobos stands by it "Should I announce you leaving?" He says

With any luck, by the time they get there, Jessica is getting drowsy. "Please do not," Brekke says to Phobos, and she gives Jessica a gentle hug before handing her off to Mitra (who presumably followed). "Take good care of her," she requests of the sidhe.

"I'm standing right here....." but yes, she didn't object further to being carried.

Mitra takes her "Yes you are... rosa's getting you some chocolate milk before your nap. It'll be waiting for us in your room" Then she nods to the Chieftain "With my life, Chieftain" The baroness assures

A grateful nod, and then she goes through the trod.

"I don't -want- chocolate milk. I want to find the bad guys..... but I promised mom." with a sigh. She heads to her room.

INdependently.

Mitra fights a smile at this stubborn streak, and watches her go into her room. There is chocolate milk by the bed which can be ignored or not.

But a nap is a must

"Thank you, Mitra." she says with dignity at her doorway. "No more than 20 minutes, please. As agreed."

"I'll let you know if your mother comes back"

"That is -not- the same thing, Mitra, and I know it. 20 minutes." Firmly, and she goes inside.

She conscientiously puts her maul away, leaves the milk, but does get something from her dresser before climbing up on the BIG bed to lay down. Just a minute. 'Cause she promised.

She twists and turns and shifts.... but it becomes slower and slower....

Her eyes drifting shut, just to rest a minute.....

And slowly she drops gently off to sleep, cradling a jointed wooden figure, polished with years of touch and play and even perhaps tears.

((Pause for a 20 minute nap))
