Jessie stares at her in disbelief made less stinging by the big blue eyes and blonde pigtails. "Mom. If someone tried to blow up a bomb. In a room full of your people. When you'd -asked- those people to be there. Would You T.ake. A. Nap??" hands on hips as punctuation.

"No. But somebody might make me pause if I were overstressed. Possibly your father."

"I paused. I drew the picture."

"Mm." A nod of allowing her that point. "If you feel you are ready to hear what they have to say, then meet with them. May I sit in on this meeting?"

A blink. "If.... if you want to?"

"I do."

"Um. Ok, yes. Sure. Come on....." and she leads the way.

Brekke follows, towering over the little girl.

She heads to the library, betting that's where Mitra and Diego went to research the symbol.

As Brekke follows, she says, "The trod sentry suggested that Siv has been here recently. Is she still?"

"We keep all the trods under observation. Some of them lead to Kansas City, it just seems safest. No, Siv's not here."

The Study does indeed have Mitra going through books, Constance helping her

Brekke accepts that explanation with a nod and follows her into the study.

"You drew the symbol?? Can I see??" Jessie charges forward, eager.

"May I see" Constance says out of habit then blushes "Ah, pardon, Countess. " She salutes the Chief. /// MItra chuckles and shows them, Multiple arrows, non symmetrical radiating outward, over an elaborate eye

A salute in return. She doesn't crowd the group, but does come close enough to see the image.

THe symbol of chaos is almost nordic... the eye is from another culture

Mitra says "You see, Chaos symbol, the eye represents magic. Meant to screw with any cantrip used to track. Interesting mmm?"

Jessie is short enough that even Mitra can see over her.

"Does it tell you who did it?"

"Nordic, wait, are they trying to say... trolls?" she looks at Constance.

Brekke frowns, her brow furrowed deeply.

She tries to recall if she's seen this symbol anywhere before.

"Or Aesin" She reminds "And the eye is more... can't tell if it's egyptian or babylonian"

This feels familiar... Brekke has seen this kind of work before

A mish mash of magics is not unusual, changelings do it for bunks all the time. Chanting Latin Incantations to the tune of Baby Shark or the like...

"Can I help look?"

but she's seen this sort of thing somewhere

"Well, you're looking now" Mitra says "This is the symbol. Or did you mean detective work and scouting it out?"

"Or just looking through books to see if I can find more information?"

"I have seen this..." she murmurs.

"Something like this."

She climbs up on a chair and is pulling a book towards herself, but stops. "Where?"

"Well," Constance starts to say "Flex and Spex have already run over much, and.." SHe blinks then looks at the Chief "Go on, Chieftain, please"

"I am not certain...." She tries looking at it from another angle.

Jessie may be holding her breath.

Wait... Frank keeps records, back when he was Mountain. She saw him inscribe this one once.

This is probably somewhere in Frank's ...er now Vali's, book case at the Lodge

"Your father...he drew this once. In his records. It must still be there. I can go and look..." she offers.

"-Daddy-?" in disbelief "Yes! Please?"

"If we could borrow the book, even for a short time, it would be of great help" Mitra says

"Tell him, 'Please??'"

Constance's eyes light up. She is the Scribe here, but also a keeper of the scales

Brekke nods, then pauses. "You could join me and tell him yourself," she says to Jessica....Jessie.

She dims "I don't want to ... upset him."

"Now, Countess" The older sidhe Mitra tuts gently "You've not done anything wrong."

Jessie looks mutely at Brekke.... -SHE- understands.

"Then...since there is nothing you can do until I return...you will take a nap." A brow.

A sigh. "You'll come back as -soon- as you can?"

"Yes. I will not delay."
