The troubadours of Fenix, Selkie and Gwydion sidhe, enthrall with their music. But the biggest surprise might be when a dozen Nunnehi warriors from various tribes come in and perform a series of dances from Nunnehi tribes all over concordia! Clearly Jonny Twofeathers and Otem worked with this to offer up without warning, but as a sign of respect for the Flamefree and the County that had offered them peace! Nancy comments that Otem looks pretty sexy dancing. The childlings are allowed to join in on the Cherokee style Stomp Dance, with turtle shell rattles if they want. While some of the kithain get a bit spooked this might be a trick, it's nothing of the sort. The balefire of Fenix itself, was looking tired but it's roaring now, renewed and lively. Even Duff shows up, for the first time in.. a while. And he facepaints the faces of any childlings with fire symbols. Tidemarch also introduces Opera to the hold, and if you don't like Opera.. it's still pretty good, if you do like Opera you're probably moved to tears.

Jess is quietly thrilled at the participation of the Nunnehi, and quietly asks Diego to figure out some kind of token of gratitude; chocolate, maybe? And of course, most of her focus is on the renewal of the Balefire; it's an almost physical relief.

"I think they invented chocolate" he smirks "But I bet they don't have the.. varations we do. I'll see to it" Diego says.

"Exactly." she confirms "Although I don't want to seem like we're trying to explain their own culture to them."

The flame, renewed roars bright and proud and joyous.

Diego ponders "I think I can word it as 'giving back to you what your land blessed the world with'"

"With our profound thanks." she adds "Yes."

"Done, I am something of a people person, even if I never made a proper rebel out of you" A smile though "It's a good imbolc, Jessica. You've a right to be pleased with yourself, your hold, and your people"

"We -all- have a right to be pleased with the progress made, and excited about the year to come."

"The way you dodge compliments, you'd think they came with stabby bits" Diego chuckles "But yes, we do. I'll get started on that chocolate gift" He doesn't bow. He never does. He doesn't call her Countess. He remains a modernist but he has certainly given her less tro8uble than many who use the title

Nancy comes up "You sure sure you don't want to join the dancing?"

Looks like some dancing is couples, others are group or circle dancing

"Hello, my Liege" A smile "The kids loved the stomp dance" THe Beaumayn is quite pleased with how Ellie's confidence has grown in many areas

"Good! I wouldn't mind more, um, mixers like this. Maybe the young can lead the elders?"

"Maybe ,though the nunnehi appear elder oriented" Mitra observes

"True."

"With luck, though, one day the childlings will be elders. I'm thinking in the long-term, here."

"AH, mmm " Ash says "I don't think I want them to grow up"

She chuckles. "I know."

"They may not, aging goes slower in strongholds than outside world, if the freeholder wishes it" The Eiluned points out. "You could keep the childlings here young for a decade or more easily"

"Oh, true" Ash says "But... that seems selfish"

"And unhealthy. We -are- partly human. Many of us." she corrects.

"Mmmh, limitations are sad" Mitra smirks

"There's a lot to unpack there, Dame." seriously "If we were not friends, I might think unkindly of that comment."

"A jest, a jape" the Eiluned says "Coupled with a bit of sidhe hubris."

"Only a bit?" Ash asks, dimpling at the younger sidhe

"Just a tip of the iceberg" Mitra says, then looks to Jessica "I know you love mortals. Your father is a Liam after all"

She nods. "He is. My mother is Gwydion." stating facts.

"Hence the use of the half and half banner at times" A nod from Ash

"Just so" Mitra says "Jessica, how have you been? I know we had our group meeting but that was hardly the time to occupy the most of your time as a friend."

"Oh, certainly. Duty first and all. I'm good. You?"

"Not bad. Feeling a bit smug in fact," She admits "I have a new knight, an old troll, who knows some arts that he's teaching our warriors."

"Oh?" she thinks "I don't think.... did you send a report on that? I'm sorry, sometimes there are so many....."

"Oh no, didn't. Been keeping him in reserve. I wanted my people to have the lead on everyone else" Mitra says

"Baroness Mitra" Ash fusses

"I'm allowed to have nice things" Mitra says

"You are. I'm not going to poach him, but I'd like to meet him."

"He's at the Pitt now, helping guard the place while the bulk of us are here"

"But I'll be happy to show you him later?"

"Well, he's not a tourist attraction, but if possible, yes. An introduction."

"Mmm I wonder if I could charge tickets?" SHe ponders

"Might want to be careful about that, Baroness. Trolls get get grumbly if they feel they're being mocked." Ash says "or so I hear"
