"Is Dreamer theft a crime? " The pooka inquires

"I don't like the sound of it very much." she admits "Let's get him back to Fenix."

THey do easy enough "Me lady.. me thinks..this fellow is kissed by the sun"

"Could be. We'll put aloe on him, get him some water and some cool shade. Fontaine, if we need to.

A nod

Once back at Fenix, she puts things in motion to get Lord Iago settled. And remain secure. A capable guard or two.

(Still gagged)

He wakes and motions at best he can to his mouth

"He IS going to have a problem driinking his wine" Sir Buce observes "Why ARE we denyingg him speech?"

"Lord Iago, I will ungag you if I have your word to observe the Escheat while you are here. You have been implicated in a violation of The Right of Demesne. I'd like to hear what you have to say, if I can do so safely. Do you agree, and give me your word?"

Angry Double blink

"I will take that as a 'yes' response." she says gravely, and unbinds him. "Sir Buce, can you ask for food and drink to be brought? And, um... maybe clothes? A robe?"

Waterr is hannded to him, and Buce bows annd gets the rest

"Thank you." Jess says as he jets off.

"Countess," The Ailil says "WHY was I left gagged without a chance to explain before this? In what way can a man explain anything of substace by blinks?"

His voice is crisp, but the anger held back

"To be fair, Sir, I wasn't asking for substance; just checking facts."

"I left you gagged to ensure you did not try to overwhelm me."

"Overwhelm?" He blinks "My hands and body were tied. I was hanging upside down. How could I possibly be a threat? It certainly isn't by dictum. You're a countess.. few out rank you annd I am not among them"

"If I was over cautious, I apologize, Sir. Will you allow me to make amends?"

"Merely let me go back to my Baron." He looks up as drrinnnks and food are arrived "And stop that outlaw"

Buce says "outlaw?" Curious

"La Cernícala!" Iago curses the name

"Who is your Baron?"

"The Baron Tidemarch, of course" He says

"Mm. And he knows you are here?"

"Most likely not, why would he? I'm allowed to walk about in the county am I not?"

"You are. You indicated to me that you were not here to take Dreamers away from the Fae who were supporting and encouraging them. Is that the truth?"

"Well.. there is no law in luring away others dreamers" He smooths his oufit as he puts the robe on "I can offer more to them. I have wealth. "

Buce raises a brow "What's the going rate on a dreamer? Before taxes"

"Oh few arround here can compete. Poverty drives the dreamers to the better off. "

"I'm not sure how I feel about that, Sir." Jess frowns "Fae who have invested time and care in Dreamers should not be left without."

"But it is not a violationn of the right to dream. I broke no law. "

"A hole of loops?" Buce frowns

"La Cernícala however, did. Assaulting me, capturing me. I hope you bring justice"

"As I said, your actions may be a violation of The Right of Demesne."

"What? that...how so? " He says "need I a barister?"

"Well, if the Lady is the ultimate word on justice in her lands.... then I can say if something is or isn't legal. Can't I?"

The Ailil frowns "The law surely cannot be enforced retroactively? "

"It's an interesting question."

"I see. Well, had I known it was seen as illegal, clearly I never would have done it. I'll not repeat it"

"That is good to hear."

"Then I'll be on my way"

"I'll escort you."

"If you.. insist" he goes along with her "But I hope this ...Kestrel thug gets put down. "

"Pardon?" Jessica stops, looking at him.
