The battle with the Krampus was legendary, but tex was saved

It's a bit of a blur, Jessica had to go ino the drreaming to retrieve him

And, most wounds suffered in the effort have healed.

Tex blushes "Uhm sorry bout that"

"Why?"

"You tole me to ask for help if I was inn trouble"

"And I didnt' and got in trouble. You're not gonnna ground me?"

"I'm thinking I might ask Demos and Phobos figure out what to do."

WINCE "Yes, Ma'am"

Jess nods.

"Well, I gguess I deserve it"

"That's a responsible outlook, Tex." approvingly.

*hate bein sponsible" A sigh

"It looks good on you, though. Might talk to Demos and Phobos about it; I know I can rely on them."

"Yeah, cuz they're badasses" he nods

"Reliable badasses." she agrees.

Holger appears "Comtess?" He is wearing reindeer antlers on his helmet "Forgive me, but.. is it safe yet to remove these?"

"Safe? I would think so..... why are you wearing your helmet inside?"

"Because of the custom?" Holger seems confused she asks "The tallest child must wear the Antlers during Christmas or bad luck will happen"

"Um. Is that a Tijuana custom?"

"Isn't it a Fenx custom?" Holger blinks "It's what i was told"

"By whom? although Jess has a few ideas already....

He blushes "Another childling.. I have been tricked. Haven't I?"

"You're not alone in that." Jess confirms. "Think of it as teasing-because-they-love."

A sigh "Sometimes it would be nice if people loved me a bit softer"

"Maybe you should tell them that." gently..

"Si. Gracias, Comtessa. " He takes the hat off

Jessica looks subtley; no bad hat-hair? Normal color? Same length?

Hair could use a combing, but fine

She nods. "Thank you, Holger."

He leaves

And Tex? Tex breaks out laughing

He gets an eyebrow.

"Oh come on, it's funny" He protests

"Maybe. Holger wasn't laughing."

Tex grins "I Know, because he had to wear a stupid hat! HA"

Empathy, not a redcap strongpoint

"Why don't you go check in with Phobos and Demos?"

He winces "Yes ma'am" And goes on

She takes a deep breath, and goes to see if there's something around for lunch. A hot dog would do.

She comes into the kitchen, and sees Maria who looks over "Jessica, how are you?"

"Good. Is there something I could have for lunch?"

"Of course!" She says "Have a seat. If you like I have tacos with the fixings half made already"

"Or I can get you a big old American style burger?"

"Either one." she sits "Thank you. How was your Yule?"

"Wonderful..." She says and makes with the tacos, no ordinary tacos, but ones with all the fixins that Jessica likes

"My familia is doing fine, thank you, save for my Cousin Tina..." She begins to chatter about Tina's foolish fixation on a married man, scandalous

Jessica eats what she's given (dutiful girl) and listens with half an ear.

".... and that's how she got in trouble last time too. So you see I'm right?"
