"Um. No. I would think one of the local sluagh would know....?"

They find one, and he doesn't have a taxidermed one, but he does have a rat skeleton held together with wires.

Jess checks with Tex; will that do?

tex says "You think Adler or Ahpuch would like it more?"

Clearly he's sold, but he's not sure WHICH sluagh would fit it better

"Oh, um." she thinks; both slaugh boys keep to themselves, as sluagh do. She doesn't really KNOW them well.....

Adler is more reserved, and mature, his time with an AUtumn person didn't kill his wonder but he is more of a team player now having seen how much kithain nneed each other. He's a bitt more mature, and older than ahpuch.

Ahpuch fancies himself a 'death god' and tends to be a lot more brazen in making trouble. He enjoys playingg Devil's advocae to Salma

"I don't know, Tex. What do you think each would do with it?"

"Adler would study it, like learn where the bones go, keep it up high, and take it down... Ahpuch would call it a minionn and have tea with it"

"Hm. Both are tempting."

"I know right?" He pauses then looks at the sluagh "You got another skeleton?"

Turns out, the sluagh gent also has a skeleton of a turtle

Shell and all

"That could work."

He gets both "I think Adlerr will like the turttle. Ahpuch is moree of a rat guy"

"Do it." she approves.

A grin... and two skeletons in boxes there are and off he goes

And Jess does with him.

His shopping goes quickly...

and then, a chimera flies overhead, it looks like a bat

'Krumpus knows what you did' it hisses at Tex

Jessica is immediately on guard. Against the bat chimera, if it needs to be said.

tex glares "Come down here and say that... I'll Ozzy your head!"

Naming the most famous of redcap singers

"Leave us be." Jessica orders the chimera.

It circles... but keeps a distance "One Child must go to him, tribute for Krampus.. " then it squeels and flies off

Tex yells "You BETTER run!"

"What did it mean, Tex?" an eyebrow.

"I ain't sure."

"I think he's saying I was bad, so the Krampus will take me." A frown

Jess rubs the base of her horns. "Well. It can try. Like I said, chimera don't get to just attack Fae in Renaissance. We will protect our own."

"I'll take care of myself" But he looks worried

"Hey... how does your shopping list look?"

"Done I think... we should go home"

She nods. "Let's go home, but I have an idea to talk to you about when we get there."

And to hhome they go

She helps Tex secret his presents while discussing her idea. "So... -did- you do something that would make the Krampus want to take you?"

"I done a lot of bad things befoe I came here. Most redcaps do"

"But in the last year? Here in Renaissance?"

A thougt and a frown "Maybe."

"Ok. Well. That makes it a little more difficult. You want help with this, or is it your fight to fight? We talked about sticking togther."

"Can I think on it? I donn' want no one here to hate me "

"You got it. But don't take too long." she nods; she is displaying trust and the assumption that he can handle things.

Tex looks guilty "Yes m'am" And he goes to his room

Jess sighs, and rubs at her horns again before heading back to her room. Might be time for a break.....

And so she goes to take one. Coffee, and fire
