He looks about, and mutters "Shoot.. I'm in wimpy corby then.. but all right"

Jess doesn't take offense; she just makes sure she has pesos, and leads the way. Tex can keep up.

Tex runs after her, they head to the market they were before..which is still going strong

"What do you think Holger will lilke? he's like you"

"He's a troll." she agrees "He's been studying troll lore, and dedicated to Ellie and her childling court. What do you think?"

"Uh.. BIG shoes?"

"Hm. Does he need new shoes?"

"No, guess not. The hold makes sure we have plenty of clothes . Ellie hyardly lets me have torn jeans some days" A roll of his eyes "She tells Diego"

"She wants you to look good." Jess tempers.

"Redcaps never look GOOD, we look scary, or bad ass. I'd be all mad at Ellie except she saId one day I might join a corby, but to do it I got to be tested by some plant"

"Some... plant?"

"Yeah... show your might to enter before the barbs of a briar and it may open the way to you"

"stupid huh? But she says it means something"

"And that i shouldn't tell" He stops "damn"

"Hm. Well. Ellie has visions, granted by her House and the Dreaming. Probably best to be ready."

"I won't say anything." she assures him.

"THanks..." He looks around "COOL..." He walks up a knife vendor

She follows.

The knife vendor says "This isn't for little boys, I'm afraid"

"Which ones to you want to see, Tex?" Jess asks calmly.

"The bowie knife, he was a texan... " A glare at the vendor "And i don't need a knife to do harm to someone"

The vendor gulps

She nods. "May I see the bowie knife, please."

"THere you go" The vendor hands it over to her "A timber rattler Western Outlaw bowie knife"

"You think Demos would like it?" Tex asks "I Know I would"

"Then he probably would too." she agrees "And I know he can't have too many knives. What about Phobos?"

"THat one looks good" He points to an all black one

"Marine raider.. useed by the armed forces" The man says "Another type of Bowie"

Jessica nods, offering to take the first knife from Tex so he can received the second.

Balance is checked, and the boy nods "Yeah, that'll work"

"I'll take both." she informs the salesman.

A price is haggled for, Jessica knows that she'll be overcharged otherwise, but soon she has two bowie knives.

Tex says "want me to pay you now?"

"No." quietly "When we get back."

"Okay" he says not quite quiet enough , and looks about "Darn, not any gun vendors. Not sure what to get Mr. Duff"

"Can't help you there."

"Oh yeah, cuz you dumped his ass" A nod "I'l l find something." He sighs and looks at the section on dolls and stuff "Better find something purple. Ellie LLUVS Purple"

"She does." Jess agrees "It's in her name, even."

"Oh... Ellie means purple?"

"No, but hyacinth and violet do."

"OH.. yeah" He moves along then digs through some toys, groaning at the girlliness of it all

The vendor looks alarmed, but then his eyes light up "it's so stupid, she'll love it"

Jess has to chuckle. "I think she will mostly like that it's is from you, but yes."

"Oh it's stupid and purple and dumb.. she'll love it" A nod and look to the vendor "Got anything like this in yellow or green?"

"Well, yes?"

"Okay, one of each of those.. hey, shopping's easy with some girls that like flower and stuffed animals huh?"

" I suppose so. I guess the better you know someone, the easier it is to shop for them. You can get them a gift that will mean something to them."

"Uhm.. yeah" he says
