At Skyhook, a Beaumayn Knight grump looks to visit

"Yes, Mama Capataz, if she can make time? Tell her Dame Ash is here"

One of the newer members of Tweak's staff is about to give the sidhe the short-and-polite-tour-for-noobs, but a somewhat older and more experienced nocker gives Ash a measuring look, then an up nod. "Follow me, lady-ness." She leads the way to Tweak's offices.

"Thank you" Dame Ash follows

While they don't go through the main workshops or manufacturing area, there's a background hum of forging and drills and steam presses and the occasional gunshot...and the constant mutter of professional disagreement.

An elevator that's only slightly unnerving in its creaks and grinds brings them to an upper floor, and there the guide says, "Wait here just a moment, 'kay?" Then she ducks inside an office.

Somewhere in the hallway there's the tick-tick-tick-taaaaaack-tickticktick of some syncopated clockwork.

The guide reappears and waves her in. "C'mon, lady."

She ennters in, I hope I'm not irradiated

And she gets escorted through an outer office where an assistant is on the phone in some debate about scheduling. And then through the door into the freeholder's office itself. It's large but (not too surprisingly) cluttered with bits and bobs of half-finished projects and folders of project files. And there's Tweak behind her desk, scribbling a schematic.

"Mama Capataz, pardonn the intrusion but the Counntess thought you should know about an uninvited guest on your borders"

Tweak glances up then back to her work. "An' a fuckin' hello-how-is-ya to you, too."

Then another look, and her drafting pencil pauses. "Guest?"

"There's an intelligent purple dragon about the size of a Double Decker bus on the border of your barony," Dame ash says "it seems to want revenge on someone in the Fenix areea," Then deadpan "Fuckin hello-how-is-you?"

Not as much sass as Mitra/Moonie would do, but not bad

She leans back in her chair. "You shittin' me?"

"This ain' some troll in a goddam Barney costume?"

"Even if I had the sense of humor, Jessica wouldn't... we talked to her "Ovonth the lady of Twight skies" she calls herself. She's here for Revenge on a target she did not name"

A sneer and a shrug. "Ain' never heard of her. Maybe she belong to some Nunnehi chief? Seems like you all been fartin' around wit' 'em a bunch."

"The Nunnehi seem to have a schism, and whe had' heard of Ovonnth eather, but the Countess thouht you would want to know. If you should learn more about who her target is, please pass word back to the countess"

"Wait, wait, wait...you already done heard about her, but you ain' feeling like dropping that info on me? What you done hear about her? An' why she in my territory?"

"Pardon, I should clarify. we just today talked to Ovonnth today, an elderly boggan spotted her first and let us know of the dragon's existence. We managaged to find her at the edge of your barony looking in the direction of Fenix. " She relates the conversation in more detail (See RP with Jessica and the dragon)

She listens, scowling. "Swear to shit, if I done known we got a dragon up in here, I been recruitin' that bitch day one. Dragon breath gotta make a killer forge."

A surprised look "that's a bold idea, but her mind is on revenge, not employment"

"Who th'fuck says you can't have both?"

"Look, tell B I ain' got no idea 'bout this Purple People Eater whatever, but I find out."

"Tell her we also workin' up some armaments for th' war effort."

"I'll inform her, but please remember, we want to DENY the dragon her revenge"

A narrow look. "Dragon mentioned a spider....you sure she lookin' AWAY from Skyhook?"

"it could have been a fake out, but she definitely was looking away from skyhook"

"Huh." Thinking. "Naw, there be another personality, somebody who gotta web...."

"You have a supposition?"

"Nah, I don' take them up-th'-butt things, and where the fuck that question come from?"

"Pardon, I meant, you have a guess on who her target is?"

She gives the sidhe a dubious look for the previous question before answering, "I might got a guess. But I ain' sure. If I get sure, I let B know."

"More than fair"

She shuffles some of her drawings together. "Everything runnin' okay back at th' old place?"

"Well, Jessica is.. single again, a challenge to all our boggans. That frustraion is minor compared to her concerns about the nunnehi rift but so far so good . The Childling court seems to thrive. Speaking of children? How are yours?"

"Pffft...them boggans gotta get they noses outta what B's ass be doin' in bed. More they wanna put 'er wit' someone, th' more she gonna say fuck no, thank ya very much." Then a shift. "Th' spawn be excellent, of course. They top-of-th'-line product! Still...." A pause, and she gives the sidhe a speculative look. "You been teachin' that little horde they got over there, right?"

"To be fair, Mister Viggo has been takin over some specialized classes, but yes I've taught a bit. Why?"

"Viggo? Who dat?"

"Mister Viggo, he's a liesanced teacher who is used to workinn with Dslexic children such as Ellie. Ellie's learning braille, would you believe it?" A bit proud

"No, shit. She got th' bonk-eye for readin', too, huh?" Another considering look.

"Yes. too? I did't realize you shared that. yes. Yes she does"

"Fuck, yeah...." A shrug. "Used to fuckin' bug me all to hell, but I be too damn old to give a shit much anymore. Plus I got me my goggles," she indicates the pair sitting on top of her head. "They fix shit."

"You... could you make a set of glasses like that?"

"So anyways...listen...Shuri? Little girl be smart like a 'lectric car with auto-navigation what actually WORK. She gots a bunch of teachers here, and she soakin' up th' learnin' like crazy. But..uh..." She scratches absently at the crazy nest of hair on her head. "Ain' a whole lotta kids here, y'know?"

"I see your concern children get lonely. I can' speak for the countess but if I were a wagerin sort I'd bet she'd be happy to have the girl attend classes and trainin?"

"Yeahhh." Still some hesitation. "Dunno, though. Since th'boychild done showed up, she begun actin' out kinda, y'know? Gotta figger how to get her there without she feel like it be a punishment or somepin'. And it a bit of a hike for girlfriend to be comin' an' goin' every damn day. Dunno. But I run it by her pops."
