"Ovonth the lady of Twight skies" The purple dragon says to the Countess, "You say you are responsible for these lands? You rule them?"

"I... do."

"And yet use no title? Odd.. " Ovonth says "Most nobles wrap themselves in them, some pitifully, others really do have panache. It's the knights I worry about... seem to be positively eager to sttab dragons"

"I'm not a knight, Lady of Twilight Skies."

"then why do I SMELL Knight?"

"I have a companion with me. She is a knight. She will not offer you harm unless you offer it first. That is fair, is it not? May we speak, and do no harm to each other?"

"I believe we are speaking now," Ovonth gives a kind of grin, flash of teeth bigger than daggers "Were we doing harm, you'd find it unseasonably warm. What is on your mind, Jessica?"

"I was wondering what brings you here, to the lands I am guardian of?"

"Revenge, but not upon you" the dragon assures her

"You understand, I hope, that I have concerns about that."

"Will you tell me of it?"

"He bows to no authority, my target. I can tell you that. Therrefore you need not feel obliged to protect him"

A small smile. "I... Trolls don't work that way, Lady of Twilight Skies." respectfully.

"Then I will definitely not nname him. " She observes

"Are you sure this target here in Renaissance?"

"Oh yes, like a spider in his web"

She rests the head of the maul on the roof-top in front of her, laying her hands over the butt of the handle. "Lady of the Twilight Skies, I'm bound to defend my people. Is there another option for you to have your revenge?"

"I think not" Ovonth mmms "I do not wish to kill you, troll ruler"

"Nor I you." she agrees.

"Mmm then I sense a solution .." And her wings flap

Jessica watches her go, nonplussed.

"She GHOSTED you?" Ash blinks from the door way "You just were ghosted by a dragon"

"I'm.... not sure."

"I supposed ghosted is better than dusted....."

"I was wondering if we'd have to break out the aloe"

"She's well spoke and not rash." Jessica watches where the Dragon went "Damnit."

"Yes, that means she's also patient enough to go after her target whoever that is, when we're not arounnd"

Jess gestures Ash to come with her, and walks to try and capture the view the dragon had chosen for herself.

She was looking away from Skyhook, so Tweak's barony is not the area she wants .. just a starting point

"Wha's the plan?"

"Get back to Fenix... actually , can you go to Skyhook since we're right there, tell them what she said? About revenge, and what we know about who she's looking for? I'll get back to Fenix and put the County on alert. Do-not-attack order; we're -starting- anything. But hopefully whoever pissed her off will hear and take cover or take off."

"mmm maybe Tweak has some kind of..dragon tracker device?"

"You could ask." Jess agrees, shouldering the maul "Let's go. She's got a head start on us.

"Yes, my liege. A dragon on na HUNT... that'll be fun"

And off they go
