Waking up flushed and blushing is probably not the way she wanted to start her morning

Certainly not, but a cold shower is sometimes a welcome thing.

So she has one.

She can't remember WHO her lover was in that dream, maybe that's a good sign that she's not sure it was Duff. Or maybe it was duff and she's stubbornly in denial. Still, there are certainties in this world. Certainty number one: The cold shower is a good idea. Certainty number two: No way is she telling her sister about this.

Ever.

So, cleaned up and presentable, she starts her day. Breakfast! Otherwise the boggans hunt her down....

It's true, they can be relentless. She has won some battles with the boggans, Rosa and Marie suggest she eat in the dining room where they can serve her and make a fuss and folks may join her for socializing, but now and then Jessica just eats at a small (By troll standards) table in the kitchen by herself (Minus the boggans themselves working about). Now and then they push, but usually she gets to pick. Where today does she want her breakfast? Dining room or kitchen?

Her instinct says 'kitchen.' It's more comfortable for her. But she does stop to think, and asks the ladies what they think; is there a reason she should perhaps be more social?

She opens the kitchen door to ask the ladies... and hears a 'Eeep' and someone is trying to hide behind the kitchen door. Someone ..small?

Marie is already making breakfast foods. She looks over, "Jessica, how are you this fine morning?"

"Um. I'm fine, thank you." She peers around to see if she squashed someone? "Sorry....."

"Marlena, come out from behind there at once," Marie fusses.

"Yes, Tia" A small voice comes out, and a childling peeks out shyly "Pardon me, Countess" The family resemblance is obvious

"Jessica, this is my niece, Marlena. She is very shy and we are trying to help her with that. Marlena, this is Countess Jessica King, the freer of the flame here. She prefers just Jessica when court is not on, but you will be mannerly and call her Miss Jessica or Senorita Jessica even when not in court, si?"

A head nod from the little girl

Jessica uses Spanish "A pleasure to meet you, Marlena."

"Marie, where would you recommend I eat breakfast?"

"Mmm I should tell you tell the dining room is more suited for the misstress of the house," Marie says, "Rosa certainly thinks so. That way also the childlings can join you and they like you. However, the childlings are already out at the beach today with guards." An eye ot Marlena who apparently ducked out of that, then she glances back "So wherever you feel more comfortable today. You do have a guest, but unless you want to invite her to Breakfast she can meet you later and, the kitchen is fine. I know you like the privacy."

"A guest?"

"I think she is a liam? She has that feel, but she wears black and gold so maybe Varich? " A shrug "She hoped to see you. She was scheduled in before lunch to meet you if you wanted. She came very late last night while you slept"

"Oh." Jessica grabs something to eat quickly.

"She's eating too fast, Tia" Marlena says to her Aunt in Spanish "She'll get gas"

Marie fusses at the troll "Slow down, I work hard to make sure you have GOOD food that you can savor. " The eggs have been lovingly made

"Sorry...." she does try to eat more slowly, but....

"And sip your juice, don't just suck it down," Marie is less impressed with Jesssica's title than Rosa is

Jessica sips.

Marlena shyly looks over, then, "The other children are worried that Rivervale will steal young Holger away" it looks like even shy boggans feel the urge to gossip

Jessica has to swallow before she responds "I can talk to them about it. Rivervale was my home, and my parents are there; they won't steal anything or anyone."

"Bueno, I told them that.. that sending Holger was a good way for you to stay in touch with your own family, to see how they are doing" Marlena almost whispers the next "But now they think he is trying to be the spy. that is not what I meant"

"Oh Marlena, at least you talked to them" her aunt tuts

"That's -not- why Holger ..... " she sighs "I'll talk to them, Marlena. Thank you."

A headbob and the little girl vanishes

Marie mmms then says "My niece must like you, she talked directly to you."

"She seems sweet."

Jessica finishes her (small) meal. "Thank you, it was very tasty."

"De nada, " she says "Now, you have plenty of time to meet your guest still. See, breakfast is better savored." She hands over a cup of coffee to follow the juice and meal "Your morning energy"

"Thank you." if allowed, she'll take the coffee to go meet her guest.

The guest in question is a platinnum blonde sidhe woman dressed in black and gold chain, but the tabard over it does not depict the sun, but rather a phoenix. the feel of her is definitely Liam.

Jessica nods and offers her hand. "Hello. I'm Jessica King."

"Oh, padon, I didn't expect to see you so soon," the woman takes the hand and shakes it "I feel I should be bowing. I'm Dame Garia of House Liam, Bannerhouse Tinean . Thank you for seeing me"

"We're not much on ceremony here." Jessica excuses her "Welcome to Fenix. Have you been offered refreshment?"

"Already had a lovely breakfast" She answers

"Care to sit? What brings you here?" Jessica finds a place they can talk comfortably.

She sits as directed, "Well, I'm not sure how much you know about the Bannerhouse I belong to? We have a reputation for some derring do but our chief purpose is to find Changelings who have forgotten themselves and help them. "

Jessica shakes her head. "I'm familiar with the House, of course, but not your bannerhouse. Sorry. It sounds like a good cause, though. That business brings you here? I'm happy to help."

"As you know, illegal immigration is fraught with risk for the folks attempting it, frankly, I don't give a hang about the politics of it one way or another," Dame Garia explains, "But we have reason to believe a deportation process caught up a changeling man, causing him to forget himself.. His family thinks he might be lost and confused here in Tijuana. I am tryingg to find him, restore him, and reunite them"

Jessica nods. "We can help with that. What do you need?"

"Well, mostly your permission, We Liam aren't shy about bypassing authorities when we have to , but I'd like your official tolerance in my search. Obviously the Escheat still as always applies " Garia goes on "And I'd like to ask around if anyone has seen the fellow in question" She preaches into her pocket and pulls out a photograph, a stout man with a broad smile annd a mustache, he looks late 30. Jessica doesn't recognize him "Obviously we don't expect him to be too close to any holds or he might have been found by now"

She nods. "Permission granted. Have you spoken to Sir Jack, or Father V?"

"No. I arrived before dawn here, I thought coming to you first would be the wise choice. It's said you're a Liam ally. I take it the two you mentioned are also Liam friendly?"
