"Let's stay away from offering them alcohol, ourselves, but maybe tea or... I don't know. Something consumable, if that's what they gave us."

"Actually," he sorts through somethings "If you're looking for a good possibility? We could offer them beads. " He holds up a hand "that's not some 'let's buy manhatten cheap' poor taste joke... it just so happens that I got a deal online and... well" He shows her a cigar box, but inside are several beads made of obsidian! "If I recall, Obsidian is valued yes?"

"Yes, it is." She considers the idea. "I .... I suppose we could ask Otem....." reluctantly.

"The lamb they placed on the altar of matrimony?"

A smile "Pardonn, I think I'm funny, perhaps I'm not. Want me to ask him for you? I know the whole set up they tried made you unsure"

Jessica doesn't look amused, no. But, she doesn't take the bait. "Yes, please ask him what would be a good gift in return."

"Happy to" He answers "Anything else?"

"Not unless you have something for me. I'm going on patrol with Dame Ash, after."

"Then enjoy your patrol"

She nods, gets her maul and Dame Ash, and off they go!

Her patrols are as much to check defenses as they are to be seen, to take the pulse of her County.

Fortunately, this one passes uneventfully
