Cynder huffs at the unicorn "Whiterun, I do not understand Unicorns bein so fussy, it's an enjoyable thing, you train the rider to move in harmonny. It keeps them healthy and gets them outside"

"She's right."

"Well, I .. suppose but.. ah" Whiterun whispers "It just seems.icky. Non virgins i mean"

"Prude" A sigh

"Um."

"Ok, well.... Cynder, we'll make time for that visit. I've got patrol now."

"Enjoy your patrol" She stamps her hooves "give them what for"

She nods and heads out after grabbing her maul.

And off our heroine goes!

A little purple around the ears and the back of her neck but... yes, a patrol. Perfect solution.

That's when the ninja attacks

Well, a s hadowy figure with a shadow sword catches her almost off guard

Sensing the figure more than seeing it, she goes on defense with her maul to get distance and gain time to react.

She parries the shadowblade

And..it looks llike a nunehi.. no, a shadow SHAPED like a nunehi!

She reposts with the head of her maul, not swinging to hammer but poking with it to drive the breath from the figure before she recognizes the form.

No breath is had....

but it does feel it.

And it slashes, a thin line of blood off our heroine

Ok, NOW this thing can feel the full weight of the maul if she lands a blow. Flatten a foot, maybe, or knock it down.

Troll strength is impressive, she tears one in half.

Well, as there IS only one... dead and then fading

only an owl feather remains

A chimerical owl feather? the only thing not made of shadow

"DAMN IT." She hisses vehemently as she picks up the feather. ((AFK a bit))

Chimerical... but it has color

She glances at the scratch the chimeral left on her; bad?

If she werenn't a troll it would be worse- but it's a sizable if shallow gash

Probably not a good idea to keep patrolling. She glances around to gather her surroundings; near any Fae-stations or outposts?

Well, Duff's...place. is... like on this street

Jess sighs. Then brightens! If that's true, then her apartment is just there too and she has supplies there. So that's where she heads.

Saved by logic!

And to her apartment she goes.

She enters, sets things down, and goes to the bathroom to clean up and bandage her arm.

First Aid kits, every house should have one.

And every troll house certainly does. She washes, dries, applies ointment, bandages.....

And yeah, she's cleaned, stitched and bandage

She checks her arm Still good for patrol?

She'll be at a slight disadvantage if she has another fight

She considers carefully, then sighs and pulls out her phone to call Fenix.

Phone picks up "Constance" It's her scribe

((Need to pause for a bit; Thing1 has an appt..... BB ASAP))

"Constance, Jessica. Can you send anyone free for patrol to my apartment in the city? Or anyone currently out on patrol? No emergency."

"Right away. I think Demos is available."

"I'll wait for him here. Thanks." And so she waits.

A knock on the door

She checks before opening.
