She makes sure that the basket is safe and set aside where they won't get damp. ANd looks for Jessica. "Did the Condesa fix her scratch? Will it buff out?"

(Jessica disappeared to her room)

A small frown.

"She's probably in her room," Fontaine says "She does that. But I will tend to her laer"

(Jessica's room) A knock

Jack wakes up and sees Ellie "ellie? Hey.. how are you?"

(Jessica's room) "Come in." She pulls her robe closer, belting it tightly.

(JR) Duff enters "I was told you were wounded"

(JR) "A scratch. I'm fine. New Chrysalid, though; fox pooka."

(JR) "I thought I smelled new energy, " He looks over her wound "Mmm seems minor, and you bandaged it clean"

(JR) She extracts herself from his inspection and rebelts her robe. "Thank you. I've had practice."

(JR) "Mmm I suppose so" A smile "Fine, sue me. I have protective instincts too you know?" He takes her hand "Congratulations on a new kithain"

(JR) Her hand, he can have. "Thank you. Although it was Ellie that sensed her, found her."

(JR) "Ellie wennt into battle?" Surprised

(JR) "She did. She's been working on her skills and she's not bad. Got a little stabbed, but she's in the spa pool now."

(JR) "A LITTLE sabbed? " A shake of his head "Bold girl"

(JR) "Brave." Jessica agrees.

(JR) "Seems like a good fit for you at times" He nods "You know, that little girl adores you I think"

(JR) "that said" He adds "You must have been a bit worried about her during it"

(JR) "You know how combat is. Either you trust the people you're with, or you don't fight along side them. It happened quickly. She did well."

(JR) "Mmm" A nod

(JR) After a moment, Jessica sighs. "To be honest, if I could have left her here, I would have."

(JR) "What? She disobeyed you?"

(JR) "No; we all just... hauled out of here rather quickly."

(JR) "Huh.. realized someone was in trouble and charged off? Now she really reminds me of you"

(JR) He gets an eyebrow for that.

(JR) "What?" Clueless look

(JR) "-Who- does she remind you of?"

(JR) "I just said. You. You are prone to rash risking of yourself when others are in danger, ocean eyes"

(JR) "Kind of my job, Duff."

(JR) "I thought your job was ordering knights and thanes to do it for you? But I don't think you'd be happy in that job. "

(JR) "I would not." she agrees.

(JR) "Well, I want you happy so... I guess I need to just cheer you on"

(JR) Jessica doesn't seem to know what to say about that; she turns to her clothing cabinet. "I should get dressed."

(JR) "My loss" He says

(JR) "I should check on the new Chrysalid, and make sure we got all the harmful chimera. And check on Jack."

(JR) "Dinner tonight then? When you're sure?"

(JR) "Something could come up, Duff....."

(JR) "Kind of what I was hoping for?"

(JR) She gives him a -very- dry look.

(JR) "Jessica, if we hold off everything on the theory something MIGHT go bad around here ... we'll never have free time together"

(JR) "You're right." she admits. "Ok. Dinner."

(JR) "Good. You want to have it at the hold so you can be close if you need to be? I know you worry"

(JR) "Well, yes. I'm sure we can join the others for dinner when it's served here."

(JR) "All right"

Jess nods and pulls out some clothes; casual, work clothes as is her wont.

And he amdires.. rises, and helps her dress, sliding the garments on her
