Jess makes a point of asking Ariel how things are with the childlings, if they have all they need, what they are learning (or will be when lessons begin again) how their Yule was, and so on.

And Ariel blabs "Ellie is working hard on things. I think she was surprised tofind there were BOOKS written by folks with Dyslexia like she's got. So those were good gifts. And she wants to be a sword master and a good ruler and probably a wizard... and of course a good leader.. fortunately Salma and I make sure she has fun ... Salma thinks Constance needs to reorganize the books so her favorites are not too high up. Holger kind of pouts about that. I think he LIKES offering to reach things for us"
