It sputters, but.. sadly, it's not on this end that there's the problem

Spock raises back "the drones are on their way " She looks unsure about saying something else

She notes the hesitant look. "SPILL IT."

"Well, at least one person will get there when the drones do and they'll get there first"

"Th' fuck you talkin' 'bout?"

"Siv Waveobrn shrunk down to about mouse sized and rode a drone through the sky trods" She answers

A blink. "She..." A moment of processing. "Damn things ain' designed t' have a pilot. She best watch herself or th' blades gonna take her head clean off."

"Fiona" she says "If it helps, I explained we weren't liable"

"House Psycho," Tweak sighs. A glare at the intercom. "Fuck."

"Intercoms are easy to fix" She assures

Another glare, this time at Spock.

"See what you c'n find out. Seers c'n prolly see them, we got scryin' targets on file, right?"

"They're trying again" She says "Sorry, Captaz, ju7st trying to cheer you. Should have just stuck to work. Dougal training " A nod "I'll make sure ANY reports go right to me to you"

"Yeah. Yeah...." She scowls. "We got the drones on auto? Or is they being remote piloted?"

"Auto.. remote wouldn't reach this far.. but we got cameras. "She brings it up "Probably a 3 second delay"

Tweak taps her fingers restlessly on her desk, waiting for the images to clear...and then she stills as she starts watching.

The screen shows... huh.. looks like Blue tooth is getting it done with some team work! Then a furhter drone angle shows somehting else approaching. Ohter factors!

A scowl. "C'n I broadcast through them drones?"

"Yeah!" She says "And you can also close in on images by tapping on it and saying 'enhance the image'. So many mortals dream that bullshit works that we can do it eassy"

Tweak punches up the audio access. "Bluetooth! You got company comin'!"

She zooms in on the image of the approaching force.

Thallian!

"Fuck...THALLAIN COMIN', B!"

She tries to get a count.

"Awww...fuck...couple dozen..." then louder "KICK THEY ASSES, B!!!"

Tweak watches the drones switch targets...hopefully.

She can send a general signal.. not remote control so much as long distance change of orders.

Donnelle ap Gwydion says "They are out numbered, and wounded. Can you set the drones to sacrifice themselves? It might by them more time"

A momentary calculation...then a nod. "Do it. Blow them fuckers up."

And the change of orders is sent.

Tweak listens as the parting shots are issued, and starts to grin a vindictive, toothy grin. "Get 'em, GET 'EM!"

It's gratifying to see them go go go! But.. the cameras are lost along with the drones, and she loses her view

And she realizes that just a little too late. Having committed them all to the attack, she can no longer tell what's going on. A moment, then...."Fuck. That better've been enough."

"It furking better" a nod

"BOSS!"

Tweak has been pacing...well, waddling...back and forth in her office, and she turns eagerly at the yell. "Whatchoo got?"

"Most of the crew is back"

"Back? You mean...they here?!" That's better news than she had hoped for. "Where they at?" she asks as she pushes past and through the door.

"Well, some are healing up at Fenix. One of them was chimerically slain" A frown "But at least it wasn't morally. But the two who came here are ..well, the Countess covered for them. They say they've got osmething you HAVE to see"

"Bring me there...."

"Actually, they brought the prize here..." And two guys come in with the trunk,still some wounds on them. They didn't stop for healing

"Mama Captaiz.. the golden trod. It's gone, but we got something before it went down. We.. we got a shard of it."

She stops in her tracks. "You got a shard of what? The trod?!

"the chest has winter magics, used for perservation. We got.. thirteen hours tops to omen, whisper, and anything else you wanna do"
