"Everything okay? " Tig asks

"Probably..... um, how is Siv? Do you know?"

"Sounds like you got more recent news than I did" He says gesturing to the text Siv just sent "Last I knew she was enjoying Knight Errancy but still chipping in on patrols and such at Rivervale"

"She in trouble?" Tig asks

"No. I don't think so. I mean, not more than usual."

He nods.

Jessica gets ANOTHER text from Siv

TXT: Sparrow's got a hold now

"Ok, so.... excuse me, Tig, let me make a call?"

"No problem. I was about to head home. Want me till after the call?"

"Yes, if you don't mind? Just in case."

"Sure... I'll chase Nancy around the hall" COULD be joking

"Mmm." Jess might be distracted. She dials Siv.

Siv picks up the phone "Hey, Sis! got my texts?"

"Yes. Not sure I understand everything, exactly. Can you give me details?"

"It's a long one... but it all started for me when I stumbled onto a Balor with a sluagh on a chain while in mum's lands..." And she relates about Harkson, Wenceslaus, the poisoning, her curing... her spy work... and she DOES mention Symon and 'another Sluagh Friend'.. soon enough, thanks as much to Siv's ability to talk without breaks as much as anything... soon the tale of Sparrow's victory and claiming of the hold is told in full.

A long exhale.

"Okay."

"Do you, or Baroness Sparrow, need a hand with anything?"

"Sis, they're still searching the hold for Balor records, and it is in King Greyhawk's lands. I think, if you start some ties here, there's a slim chance, that we might get you more info on Nunnehi."

"I... I think I can send someone. But that's not an answer to my question, Siv."

"Me? I'm good. But we have balor skulking on the trods, and Thallians in hiding in the city. "

"I mean, I can't ask you for a hand full of soldiers to help with that, that's the Baroness ' call, but I can give you her number and you two can parley? Yes. She could use help"

"I'll take the number, yes."

And the number is given "I can tell you with the parasites removed.. I killed the brood mother.. that's another story...folks are finally free around here under Sparrow... but some of them are lost... this place has almost NO childlings. They were neglectedd because they didn't work well enough at bringing in dross or musing"

"Where are you now, Siv?"

"Well, thanks giving is tomorrow but I'm still at the Freehold. Actually, outside of it on a ledge. Hell of a view. Too damn dry, but hell of a view"

"We need to be at Rivervale for Thanksgiving."

"I'll be there in time." She assures "Look, I got Sparrow into this, so I'm obligated to help her out with it some is all. But no way am I missing Thanksgiving. You bringing Duff?"

"No."

"Poor guy. Thanksgiving alone"

"He doesn't celebrate it. As far as I know. See you at the Lodge."

"Did you ask him?"

"I mean, you say as far as you know.."

"See you at the Lodge, Siv."

"Gonna be MORE than enough turkey.. just saying..." A beat "Later sis"

And she hangs up

Jess returns to Tig. "Ok, so..... not a big deal but thanks for being here. And you might have some catch-up to do at the Lodge. But I'll be there. And Siv plans to be."

"Fantastic. Any messages or other things for me to cart?" He's cool with it

"No. Tig? Thanks for coming."

"My pleasure. I should do it more often." He says "See you Thanksgiving"

and he gives her a brief hug, and lets her go

She hugs him back. "Thanks. See you then."

And lets him go.

And off he goes

Nancy coughs behind her

She turns. "Yes?"

"Is it going to be weird for you if.. Tig and I.. uhm.. date ?"

"No! No. Why would that be weird?"

"I don't know, I mean, if he's like a brother to you it might seem like.. famiily drama?"
