Jessica 's return to thanksgiving didn't have a lot of work waiting for her. Others kept things running smoothly. The chidings had their own thanksgiving. And she got to talk with her parents (and Siv) and that was .. nice. (or in Siv's cause tolerable).

And so she gets back to work with few burdens.

Diego asks "How was your family, Jessica? I hope well?"

"Yes. I got to see everyone and the Lodge and lands and people are well."

"I'm glad. things are fine here. The girls seemed to have fun. They got a bit conspiritoral at some point but I don't think anything to worry about"

"Well. I suppose a few secret games are nothing to worry about."

"As for supplies, I've got an extra 10 boxes of Crayons hidden away"

She chuckles. "Thank you. You got reimbursed?"

"Oh yes. I'm thinking of just buying in bulk. As for supplies on another level.." He says "I've got a deal for 250 hundred blankets to distribute to the poor and homeless among the mortals. I apologize for making the purchase without checking with you, but I got it for a song"

"I approve. Um. They are ok, right? Safe?"

"Quality" he says

"Ok, good. Let's look at Fae and then kinain, but mortals too."

"Tha'ts why I got so many"

"Great idea." Jess confirms.

"Now... on other areas of supplies for kids. I can get a bargain on 20 futballs.. pardon soccer to you Americanos"

"As kind of a Yule, or Christmas give away?" a pause "Diego, we have the funds for this?"

"that's why I'm asking"

An exhale. "Ok, well..... can I get a full update on our dross and cash supplies? Before the holidays is a good time to assess things like that. And upcoming County needs, please."

"we have it.. it's just going to make yule tighter"

He hands her the paperwith that info

She looks it over.

"And I sold your lunch time" He says "An hour long. I got a hundred dollars"Is he joking?

"I can eat on the go." she reassures him as she reads. She takes a seat, gestures for him to do the same (if he hasn't).

"No I mean, Duff gave me a hundred bucks, American, to make sure you got a full hour for lunch and everyone would leave you and him alone."

"Y.... He.... " she sighs "Ok, fine. When?"

"In two hours. I told him for a hundred and fifty I might be able to you properly bathed, perfumed, and perhaps in a nice dress, but he pointed out this could lead to possible injury for him as well as myself to try and we should not press our luck"

Clearly the awe is gone, if Diego ever had it. But there is friendship

"He was not wrong." She mutters. "But I'll take his money. I need more time with these papers."

"I'll leave you be for the next hour and 50 minutes to look them over then, Shall I?"

"Yes, thank you. I'll be in my room."

Diego nods "I'll let others know"

And off she goes.

Diego 's work is good... but Skyhook's inventory is a bit haphazard. Mitra, bless her, is exacting so the Pitt is covered, but she's also Eiluned and might be hiding just a few reserves. Sunkissed actually... pretty darn crisp and clear.The Baron and she are on better terms of late. They may never be friends but they get each other

Jess ponders if it is worth digging into Shyhook and the Pitt..... Probably not. Any addition profit would be lost against the time and ill will. I suppose a few secret games are nothing to worry about.

To show his efficency, Diego has also counted dross from Father V and the Church, and lists from other changelings in the area who can be asked for aid if need be.

Jess feels a little awkward about taking money from Father V, but......

Who do you think is hoping they can get the soccerballs? 🙂 A good man, Father V is perhaps her firmest ally in improving things for the mortals of the city.

And she goes back to her paperwork. And most of it ..yeah, she's got this.
