Piper straightens up, catching her breath, and scans the crowd - spotting Ellie and Salma, she gives them a little wink. Oh! It was for them! And she bows once more to the audience, and clips down off the stage.

(Ariel too, but she is down with the performers. 🙂 )

Neema grins "I think I am very glad you are not trying to stick around, Piper of Rivervale" A wink "These others will be hard enough to best."

Spencer is saying "I've got to get that routine down so I can sing for the kids on the farm"

She grins to Spencer. "I'll be glad to give you the tabs. The girls inspired it, I had an idea to do Bowie before... that's always a crowd pleaser, but it's easy, y'know?" And a smile to Neema. "I'm rooting for you!"

Salma whispers to Ellie. "Maybe it's okay, but they SHOULD sing the whole song. Otherwise you miss half the story!"

"Maybe, but it.. I dunno, it was nice..."

After Jessica takes her notes, Nancy says "And , as a special treat before a break... Ariel wishes to sing a NEW Song for her friends, to prove her worthiness at being Troubadour for childlings"

Ariel GULPS..

Salma's ears go UP! "Que?! Cabracita is singing for us?"

Piper calls softly over, "You've got this, girl!"

Adam makes his way over to Piper, wrapping her in a hug with a big squeeze. "You -killed- it!"

"For us?"

Ariel nods to Piper, encouraged, and goes out, "This song .. I had help from Phoebe. It's like an ANCIENT tune... but with new words. Words inspired by Salma and Ellie, my friends, and a book character we've been reading!"

She Eeeps in surprise, and hugs him back. "Aw, thanks! It was no Spencer ballad, but I thought the little countess at least would like it. Maybe I should have included more Frozen for the elder." To Adam.

And she shushes to listen!

The little satyress breaks out a little stringed instrument and... strums.... picking up the beat...

He spends the intro of the music nuzzling Piper's ear..... Cooties!!

"Ooh my little clever one, pesty one.
When you gonna give things more time, Ramona?" Ariel sings. Fast paced intro!

"Ooh but you make reading fun, reading fun.
Driving Beezus out of her mind, Ramona!"

Ramona! Ellie claps along the beat.

Ariel strums around her friends "Never gonna stop, or give up." Doing circles about them

Piper laughs aloud and claps to the beat as well!

Ellie dissolves into giggles.

Adam laughs, delighted at the little one's style!

Salma is on her feet, and she cheers aloud for the first time! "Ay yi y yi yi YIPPEEE! That is MY amiga!"

"By right of giggle and cheer and smiles, you have proven yourself worthy of the title of childling troubadour to Fenix's childlings..." Nancy says, a wink to Jessica as she's sure she's not overstepping. "Go join your friends!"

Ariel bounds to her friends "You liked it? Did you like it? It was fun! I hope you liked it"

Jessica nods, and actually joins in the applause in this case.

And Nancy says "And a well earned break and rest for all the wonderful musicians and those here. Enjoy the churros at table three!"

Piper cheered for her, just as loud and long as the others!

"Oooh, Churros." Salma and Piper both say...

Ariel gets a fierce hug. "Did you WRITE that?"

"It was HARD" Ariel says "i'm not smart like you and Salma.. you hear words ONCE and you knwo em and Salma reads EVERYTHING... I had help. I had heard the tune..and asked Phoebe.. and said 'it sounds like it rhymes with Ramona' and she said she'd give me JUST the tune so the old words wouldn't get in my way"

Ariel hugs her back pleased "But it came out pretty good huh?"

Only now does Jessica realize Mitra has been reading her notes the whole time. Damned Eiluned can't be trusted to mind their own

Jessica gives her friend an eyebrow.

"SO good... good enough for churros..."

"You knew who was next to you" Mitra says loftily

"Oh CHURROS!" And Ariel and Ellie finds Salma has already beaten to the Churro table, so make their way there!

To be honest, there aren't many notes there; sometimes it looks like she just scratched on paper to -look- like she was making a note.

Quietly and pr ivately, Mitra says "Come now, you must have some initial opinions?"

"I do. I'd like to speak to the Freeholders; yourself, Tidemarch, and Tweak. And then the Childlings."

"Now? Or after all three performances for each?" Mitra says

Jessica taps her fingers a moment, then sighs. "I'll circulate, make casual conversation. A more formal meeting after all three."
