"Oh.. then he matters" Ariel says

"Hamilton was never president," Ash says "And if you knew the musical you'd know that's part of the storyline. I can see you girls are slipping in some basics."

"How did he make Iowa possible?"

"I've never seen a musical, maybe if I had I would know." A pout.

"Yes, we should see a musical!"

"Come on, we'll discuss the Louisiana Purchase" Ash says " we'll SEE about a musical LATER"

"Is there a musical about Louisiana?"

A siiiiigh. And she takes out her history book, tilting it up so she's half hidden behind it.

Ash says "It's more than just Lousiana, the Lousiaina purchase was..." And she explains... and about five minutes in... without warning, Peeks OVER and into text books to see if perhaps some more 'interesting' book is hiding there in

Ellie has her book open, but doesn't read.

Salma eeps and a paperback slips into her lap.

Ash shakes her head "It's good you love to read, honey, but you need to learn this to give what you do read even richer context. The more you know of the world and it's past, the more stories stand out"

"But we don't even LIVE there. They put up a WALL. Why do we need to learn about their presidentes?"

"We'll also be learning Mexican history, I promise " Ash says "And you'll find they connect.. a lot"

A sigh, and she sets the history book - just the text book - back up. And settles in, to endure.

Ash has taught childlings and young wilders before, mostly in how to be a knight, but good enough that she can teach other subjects. Though... Ariel gets bored and looks out windows. Holger is focused as she repeats things in Spanish. He's a good boy. Salma is enduring. Ellie is a fine well behaved lady. And.. where did Ahpuch get to?

She sighs and says to the book shelf "Don't make me dictum you into your seat."

SQUIIIIRM... and the sluagh returns grumbling in spanish about the tyranny of americanos

All that SUNLIGHT gone to waste! Music in the halls they can't quite hear! So many toys neglected! oh this is taking forever...

and at least one of the childlings is sure he or she is STARVING

Cheers! And out they go.. Holger salutes the Countess.

Ariel hugs her.

Ash sighs as she finds herself cast in the role of the Commandant of some horrid Gulag of education.

Ellie leads the scramble to the atrium - as close as she's allowed to "outside"

And Ariel dragsSalma along in case the pooka forgets the order of things. Escape THEN stick nose back in book

For Jessica, it's been ...busy. But not unpleasant. Music going on seems to put everyone in a good mood. She's pretty sure there are bets going on about WHO will be picked ...

even before it started.

But there's a lot of folks coming. Not just musicians, but those wanting a free show

It is.. and she's learned how much so. And not everyone is STAYING in Fenix. Others are swarming the Co- Op, which must annoy Tweak greatly to ahve her place treated like a tourist location. Tidemarch seems busy. This has put a delay on the grand tour, and yet , Tidemarch is sending missives more often. Good sign?

The Pit provokes a bit of rage in folks so isn't always the best hosting spot... but it works.

When she sees Elias's new tattoo.. well, it's not hard to guess how things a re working for Duff.
