"Some are delicious, though. Rosalita made a cake with three kinds of milk!"

"And there's dross, and there's some gadget from the Co-op, and wine...."

"I think the runner-up gets a purse, but not a good purse like the ones Zane brought, that's just another way fo saying money..."

"And at least one treasure"

Phoebe says "I'm very sorry, Spencer. I don't intend to kick anyone's ass .. I . .I do want to win"

Spencer laughs softly "No shame in wanting to win. And no I think I'll go for htep rizes. My fam would blow a gasket if I ended up swearing to a noble"

"Even a troll noble?" She asks, curiously."

And a smile to Phoebe. "As lovely as this hold is, I live in Rivervale now... I'm also going for the purses."

"It's believed to just encourage... " Spencer says but he does look.. less certain.

"What's wrong with swearing to a noble?"

She murmurs back to him. "Do you remember your visit to the farm?"

Ellie is quiet, but listening carefully.

"Well, yeah, but....." murmured back.

A shrug, and she just squeezes his hand. "Familys are interesting things, is all."

"True fact."

"So!" She says, brightly. "Does anyone know if we'll be randomly paired up for the co-op portion, or should we be finding an accompaniest in advance?"

"Oh, I don't know. Scribe Constance may, she's been doing a lot of the organization..."

"I'll look forward to a surprise then."

"There's a lot of different styles..."

Spencer didn't seem to answer, maybe he didn't hear

Phoebe says "there's a chance for duets.. yes. We should practice"

"Maybe I can do another duet with Ariel, and we'll sweep the entire competition."

"Mm, or maybe Dean. He has a lovely way with a flute."

A smile over to Spencer. "Thoughts?"

Spencer smiles "I never object to a pretty woman's voice slipping and sliding against mine."

Neema laughs at a thought

"I assume most of us know the song 'anything you can do I can do better'?" Neema says

Adam has made sure Piper has all the water she wants, and hands out bottles to any who want them.

She grins, and gets a sudden thought. A sparkle in her eyes, but she doesn't share it... yet.

"It's a good one and I think I see where you're going" Spencer says

"Oh, that would be fun."

"Not my usual style" Neema says "But I certainly would love to hear it"

"At least at the performance"

Ariel's brow knits "Not sure I know this one"

"From Annie get your gun originally... I'll lend you my copy" Spencer offers

"Thanks!" Ariel says

Neema says "Do you girls have a request for what you'd like to hear auditions?"

"Something funny and fun!"

"Funny and fun..." She looks thoughtful.

"I tend to do sad songs but I can try" Phoebe says with a smile

"Maybe a fun song will make you feel happy?"

She starts to mention a song, but then shivers a little and changes her mind.

"So many choices. So many songs. A lovely conundrum."
