"Possessed??!?!? I thought that wasn't what was happening?!?!" He looks at Piper, a bit panicked.

"Wait, if you were told that.. then maybe not? But.. odd.. very odd and I would take the story instead of dross or money if you'll tell me the whole of what you know?"

"Uhhh......" He looks again at Piper.

She looks wide eyed and troubled. "I didn't think... no, they said that he IS sidhe, but he just hadn't... hatched, chrysalised, whatever, yet. Something is blocking him, and we haven't figured out what yet. Or that's MY understanding. But... I think the Chief would have know, or have warned you if you were still in danger of getting body-jacked!"

That seems to reassure him. "I mean... Gwydion, right? She wouldn't lie....."

"If you have time, and Adam is okay with it, maybe we can go over the whole story..."

"Okay......" he agrees on Piper's agreement.

HE parks the car near the beach "if you like, I'll walk with you, no reason to cheat you of the beach .. we can talk while the lady gets her hooves wet " A grin

"You're the best." A smile, and she gives Adam a reassuring hand-squeeze. "Don't worry. No one is body-jacking MY boyfriend. Not if I can help it." A hoofstomp - on the sand, it's more of a "pfff" sound, but the intent is there.

Adam kinda-grins and then smirks. "Body jacking sounds......"

A shake of her head. "It's not."

A grin... and the Eshu walks with them towards the waves, not straight in but the others can go if they want

And Piper can't help it, she slips her hand free and is darting over to dance in the surf.

Adam watches her dart, and smiles.... warm, loving, entranced.

The pacific seems to greet the happy satyress like an old friend... even this far south, colder tahn the Atlantic, but bluer too. And not so cold as to drive her off

The water has a chill, but she doesn't seem to care, frolicing in the surf, as the waves splash up and around her ankles, and leaning to trail her hand through the seafoam before it pulls back out again with the next wave, the ocean's breath in and out.

Caspian gets the story, more of it, from Adam, both watching Piper dance... and he does say "You my friend, are touched by Da'an, truly to have come upon this. My clan are no friends to Sidhe, but you seem to truly desire this. So perhaps I can aid you. I ask if I do you do not mention it to other DeBukes."

Adam looks at the eshu, cautious but hopeful. "What do you mean? The only other DeBuke I know is Sally Mae." A small sigh.

"Oh, Sally Mae... fine cook" He says "I mean I am an Eshu, and I know tales and stories... "

"Yeah?"

And Piper dances and sees something drifting by... a bottle? possibly litter. But it's glass, not plastic and it floats

She reaches down, a hand outstretched to scoop it out of the waves. If nothing else, it's a bit of trash she can remove that's marring the loveliness of the water.

"So... are there stories about guys like me?" Careful and skeptical.

"In the olden days? Oh a plenty" he says "Remember, we did not always know the changeling way. And Fae souls, freed of mortal conscience , dabbled in many ways to continue, and mortal wizards then had the power to risk much like wise. Some stories still persist of treasures that can take the fae essence from one body to another. There are tales of humans that sought selkie skins to be selkies themselves... and yes, stories more morbid yet, of great curses and blessings that could take tattered souls and stich them together. this last I think is what happened to your folks... old souls plucked and put together in them. "

And there's a note in it!

Tucking the bottle under her arm, she glances up and down the beach to see if maybe someone put this as a joke... and reads the note.

"Like... Revenants?" Clearly upset.

The note reads Dear Piper! A life your value is in danger. Infuse this note with some glamour, and leave it at this corner Instructions given Then depart QUICKLY, or you will risk not only your own life but the life of the one you hope to save. You will have little time after you open this. A few hours at most. There are no lost causes as long as we strive to do right by others.

"I suppose," he says "But this isn't a terrible thing per se, Adam. If those souls were near shredded or lost. It returns them to the Dreaming..and that's.. that's good if terrifying and a bit creepy." Caspian says

Staring at the note for several long moments, before she clips back over to the others. Her hand trembles slightly as she works to not crush the note in her hand. "Um. Guys? This is kinda freaking me out..."

"But....."

Caspian turns "Yes?"

"Huh?"

She opens the note, and reads it aloud. Glancing up with emphasis as she reads her name in the note.

BIG eyes.

"What the fuck?"

"Maybe it's some sort of.. con? Like, whoever reads it sees their name?" Offering the paper to Adam. "And they just want to get free glam off me."

It doesn't change names

"Possible" Caspian says "But I don't sense any magic IN the note"

"No?" He hands it back.

"Who would even have known I was coming here?" Her voice growing upset. "Caspian, I'm sorry to ask a favor, we just met - but do you know willow whisper? Maybe we can ask it who wrote it... I don't know if we have time to run back by Fenix..."

"I.... once, I was able to talk to a cookie....." Adam offers, taking her hand.

"Maybe I should just pay it. I can.. I have glamour, I have dross. It makes me ANGRY to be manipulated, but on the off chance it's legit... "

A stamp of a hoof. "And then I feel stupid if it's the equivalent of a chain letter in a bottle!"

"No, Piper!" Adam takes the note back. "Tell me how to do it."

"I don't know primal." Frustrated. "Sorry, I don't mean to snap at you. It's not pointed at you..."

"I cannot help you with the whisper, but I will give you some of my glamour so you can give glamoru to this if you like?" Caspian says

"You already gave us a ride and advice. I'd feel bad about taking your juice too..." Holding the note and re-reading. "Are you familiar with this intersection? Maybe we can, you know.. do a sting and see who comes."

"I can get there, surely.. but it says to leave?"

"Guys, give it to me." Adam offers. "I'll take it!"
